I've had the idea for this for this story for so long.

Miles had snuck out of the house one morning to annoy the help, especially Ms. Grose considering she yelled at him the pervious day.

Little Miles wandered through grounds of his large home, chasing spiders around and playing in the mud.

His pants were dirty and his hands had scrapes from reaching out and knocking them against hard surfaces.

He wandered into the fields, having never been there. His family owned such a large amount of land, he'd yet to figure out what and where most of it was.

The young Y/n sat in a clearing in the field, making a flower crown. Her mother had taught her how a few weeks ago and she's been practicing often.

Her attention was caught when a she heard a loud thud. Curious, she got up to investigate. She pushed some of the tall grass out of her way and looked down.

A boy her age with curly hair and fancy clothes way laying on the ground. "Are you okay?" She asked. The boy looked up and made eye contact with her before taking a peek up her skirt.

He couldn't resist, the hem was just hanging a little ways above him. Y/n became embarrassed and hit him on the head.

"Stop it that's weird! I asked if you were okay!" He rubbed his head and stood up. "I'm okay. Are you one of my maids daughters?"

Y/n shook her head and pointed to the woods. "My family lives in a house on the other side of the woods." He nodded and looked back at her.

"Your clothes aren't very nice." She looked down at her dress and shrugged, "I got to pick this out. Maybe that's why." Miles nodded and was taken aback by her grabbing his hand.

The two's hands fit together perfectly. As if they were made for each other. Y/n pulled Miles to the clearing and sat him down on the grass.

"What're you doing?" He asked. "Making a flower crown. It's almost done."

Y/n added the last few flowers and smiled. She picked it up and put it on Miles' head. His initial reaction was to take it off because boys don't wear flower crowns. Then he realized that no one was around and it was a gift.

"Thank you." She shrugged and looked down to start making another.

After half an hour she had finished and she and Miles were playing. Y/n was a Princess and Miles was a knight coming to save her.

They played until sunset, one of the maids was calling for Miles to return home. "You should go too, you'll be safe, right?"

Y/n nodded and told Miles to meet her here tomorrow. Before they parted, she placed a short peck on his lips.

It wasn't anything special to her, just a thank you for playing with her. She ran back towards her home and Miles walked back towards his.

His fingers pulled at his lips, he couldn't stop thinking about it. He walked up to the house lost in thought when Ms.Grose ran to give him a hug.
