Everything is falling apart.

My life is over.

I stared at the scene in front of me. Tyler was laying in the street, motionless. He had blood pooling beneath him and blood in his mouth.

I couldn't do anything for a moment before a scream ripped from my throat. I ran over and got on my knees. I place Tyler's head on my lap and pulled my phone out.

I sat up gasping, my body covered in sweat. I grabbed at my chest, pleading for air. The world was fading, I needed to get a fucking grip.

A moment later a pair of small arms wrapped around my waist. "It's okay mommy! Don't cry!" A groggy voice squeaked. I sighed and turned around to hold onto Victor. Oliver continued to sleep, unfazed by the situation.

I pat Victor's head and got out of bed. I walked out of the room to the living room. I looked at the clock and lucky for me Tyler's shift ended five minutes ago.

It was a ten-minute drive home. I sat down and stared at the front door, chewing my nails, doing anything to pass the time.

I tapped my foot anxiously, my heart racing. Every time Tyler works the nightshift at the office I have horrible dreams.

I got up and went into the kitchen. I opened the fridge and peered in, not much. I'd need to go grocery shopping. I shouldn't be eating this late anyways.

I'm not even hungry. I'm just trying to pass time.

I sat back down and put my head in my hands. I need to calm down. I'm worrying over nothing. I picked at the chair, staring at the door.

How long has it been? Ten minutes? Twenty?

In reality, it's only been three.

I stared at the door, not a single thought crossing my mind until I saw headlights in the driveway. I got up and ran to the door, throwing it open.

I ran down the steps of the front porch and over to the car. Tyler opened the door and was grabbing some stuff from the car.

Before he could turn around I grabbed him, my arms locking around his neck. Tyler set whatever he was holding down and held me. "I'm okay." He whispered.

I cried into his shoulder, my hands in his hair. "I love you Tyler. I love you so much." He nodded and kissed my head. "I love you more. I'm okay, I'm alive."

I pulled away and held onto his cheeks. "It was so real..." I whispered. Tyler shook his head and pulled me back in for a hug. "I'm okay. It was just a nightmare." I nodded and sniffled.

Tyler held onto me as he stood up. I wrapped my legs around his waist and buried my head in the crook of his neck.

Tyler took one of his hands off my butt to close the car door. He placed his hand back on my lower back and carried me inside.

He carried me to our room and laid me in bed. I stared up at him while he lightly caressed my face. "I'm okay..." he whispered again.

I nodded and leaned up to give him a kiss. Tyler stood up and walked into the closet to change. Victor and Oliver were huddled together, their heads pressed against each other.

I placed my arm over them, resting my head on top of Victor. Tyler came back out and got in bed. He let out a sigh of relief, finally getting in bed after a long day.

I adjusted my arm so my hand rested on his cheek. I stroked it a few times, enjoying the quiet. Tyler rubbed his cheek against my palm a few times before reaching over to pull me closer to him.

We both love the twins but I think what we really wanted right now was cuddles. Tyler pulled his hand away and gave it a kiss.

He reached over and rested his hand on my shoulder. "I love you." He mumbled. "I love you more Tyler." I answered.

I closed my eyes and felt close to falling asleep. Tyler's hand was caressing me softly again, making me even more tired.

I felt myself drifting off to sleep easily, my heart slowing as I became even calmer.

The next morning, I woke up in Tyler's arms. The twins must've woken up earlier. I didn't mind and cuddled closer to him.

I didn't have any significant dreams. Another nightmare, not as bad as the first. Tyler groaned and I opened my eyes.

I looked at him in confusion, wondering what caused him to make the noise. Tyler rolled over and sat up a little. "Love, you okay?" He shook his head and reached down under the covers.

When he brought his hand back up we were both shocked to see a thin coat of blood on his fingers. I lifted the covers and noticed a pair of craft scissors.

Victor and Oliver used them last night to make Tyler Father's Day cards. I lifted his shirt and saw that it was nothing serious.

"I'm too tired to clean it. Let me sleep." I nodded and cuddled close to him.

We laid in bed together, resting peacefully. Our door opened but I didn't care enough to actually wake up.

There was whispered and then light air on my face. I opened my eyes a little to see a face very close to my own. I gasped and sat up scooting back against Tyler.

He groaned and sat up, wondering what was going on. I sighed and stared at Oliver. He was covered in white powder, his staring at me.

"Oliver... What happened?"

"We made you breakfast!" Victor said from behind me. Tyler yawned and we sat back against the headboard.

I was mortified.

There's obviously a huge mess downstairs and they made breakfast. That means we have to eat it. Victor ran out of the room and came back in a moment later with a tray.

On the tray, there were two plates.

He set it down in front of us and I stared at the contents.

Oatmeal, milk, cereal, candy, what might've been raw eggs, hotdogs, and so much more I couldn't even figure out.

"It looks... Delicious. Thank you." I stared at it.

"Try some!" Victor urged. I smiled and looked at Tyler. We both grabbed our spoons and grabbed a spoonful.

I held it up to my lips for a moment before taking a sip. I almost immediately threw it up but I forced it down. 'How does it taste?' Oliver asked.

"Great." I squeaked, trying not to throw up. "Great! We'll cook tomorrow too!"

Ah, parenthood. Something truly magical.
