I was sitting at my vanity, brushing my hair while occasionally glancing back at Miles. He refused to get out of bed and I do believe he may have forgotten what today is.

"My love, get up. We're going to pick the children up in half an hour." Miles sat up and stared at me. "That's tomorrow. Don't fuck with me, I'm sensitive about that." I got up and walked over, sitting on our bed.

"I'll fucking kill her. I don't know what we were thinking... Sending them to school..." His voice was full of venom as if he despised the idea. "They'll stay here with us from now on. Right?" I brushed his hair out of his face and nodded. "Whatever makes you happy Milo."

"Are we really getting them back today...? Or do you want me out of bed?"

"I'd never lie about something this important to us." He smiled and grabbed me, holding me in his arms. I hugged him back, a grin plastered on my face.

Miles pulled away and gave me a kiss before jumping out of bed and running to get dressed. I walked downstairs to see what the maids had prepared for breakfast.

"Mrs.Fairchild! Today is a good day for us, right?" I nodded and sat down. "English breakfast today." I thanked Louisa as she set the plate down.

Miles came sprinting down the stairs, sitting in his chair so forcefully I'm surprised it didn't splinter beneath him.

Louisa set his plate down as well and he began to shovel his food into his mouth. "Don't choke darling." I said as I took a forkful of eggs.

Miles slowed down but I could tell he was shaking with happiness. Louisa came over with the coffee pot and I shook my head. "Water for him." She nodded and went back into the kitchen.

She came out and set a glass down for Miles. He picked it up and began to chug it. He finished and wiped his mouth with his sleeve. "Baby, don't forget your manners." He nodded and quietly apologized.

I finished eating and we walked out to the car. Miles told the driver to take the day off and took the wheel.

Miles never got his driver's license. "When we get the boys I'm driving." Miles nodded and we sped away from the house.

After the long drive to the psychiatric hospital, Miles had calmed down enough to remember who he is and how he should act.

Upon arrival, we were both quickly led inside. "Hel-" "Where are they?"

"Mommy! Daddy!" Miles and I turned our attention to the hallway where the boys came running in straight jackets. My eyes widened as I looked back at the desk. "Th-they were a danger to the other children! It's a necessary precaution!" The man at the desk claimed.

A doctor grabbed them and pulled them back. Miles stood frozen. I reached over and grabbed his hand, caressing it soothingly.

The doors opened and Miles and I turned. "What's she doing here?!" Miles exclaimed, pointing at the small woman.

Ms. Ella Grace.

Sounds like a stripper name to me.

"She asked to come see how the two were doing." She went to speak up but I held my hand up. "I don't believe I gave you permission to talk to me."
