[ Y/n ]

Richie Tozier's room had band posters on the wall, clothes on the floor, cassettes everywhere, cigarette boxes hidden in every nook and cranny, but most importantly it had Richie in it.

I could lay with Richie all day. Our legs tangled together, my head on his chest, his arm lightly tucked around me. It was perfect. I didn't ever want it to change.

But I knew that soon it would.

Richie and I have been arguing a lot. Mostly over dumb things. We haven't said 'I love you' in two months. He stopped flirting with me and treats me more like a friend when we're around people. When we're alone he'll take a kiss or two then play video games or go to sleep.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong and that's the worst part. Richie moved around and I knew he was awake. "Babe, can you hand me my glasses..." he mumbled. I reached over him to grab his glasses off the bedside table.

I put them on him and smiled. "You know Rich, you're cute with and without glasses. You're just cute all the time." Richie smiled and pulled me down so he could hug me. I cuddled close to him, never wanting to let go.

"I think we need a break."

His words made my heart stop. I could feel the tears wanting spilling already. I pulled away and Richie tried to grab me. I pushed his hand away and got out of bed.

I put my clothes back on and started picking my stuff up off the floor. "Babe, calm down. We'll get back together in a week but I've just been thinking and-"

"I don't care Richie." I shoved the last of my stuff in a backpack and tossed his window open. "Y/n, baby, don't leave like this." He sat up and I crawled out of his window.

"No, don't get out of bed. Don't fucking pretend like this is okay. Fuck you, Tozier." I slammed his window and walked to my bike.

I got on and flashed Richie my middle finger before riding away. I rode home and immediately went to the phone.

My parents were on a trip and I wasn't supposed to be home. I was supposed to be with Beverly. I dialed Bev's number and waited.

"Marsh residents, this is Beverly." I broke down, loudly sobbing. "Beverly he broke up with me! That fucking asshat broke up with me!" I cried into the phone.

"Really? Do you want me to come over?" I sniffled and nodded, "Yeah..." she hummed and I calmed down a little.

"Alright, I'll be over soon. Love you." "Love you too.." I whimpered, hanging up. I walked upstairs to my room to look at the scrapbook I'd been making with Richie.

It had a simple cover with a picture of us at the quarry. I hiccuped and opened the book. The first page had pictures from our first date.

Richie took me on a picnic, then to a movie, then stargazing. It was amazing. When he brought me home, I gave him a kiss on the lips.

It was awkward and cute.

The next pages were pictures from us hanging out together, doodles he'd drawn, notes he'd given me, a few pressed flowers, and lots of hearts.

I felt my world crumble around me, I was so in love with Richie Tozier. So stupidly in love.

There was a knock at my door and I walked downstairs to get it. "Bev-" It was Richie. "Fuck you." I slammed the door and stood there.

"Y/n, come on... Let me in. We can talk about this! Please! Let's just talk about it!" I opened the door again and scowled at him. "Fine."

"Can I come inside? It's hot as fuck out here..." I rolled my eyes but let him inside. "Baby-" "Y/n." I corrected him.

"Come on, please listen to me. I don't want to hurt you! I just- I'm confused! I've never been in love before. I feel like I'm being too clingy and shit and I'm getting on your nerves too much!"

I shook my head and wiped my tears away. "Richie, you weren't getting on my nerves! I was only annoyed because you were being so distant."

He smiled and knocked his glasses up his nose. "So I guess we're both acting pretty silly then..." I nodded, "Yeah, sure."

He looked down at his shoes for a second. "So... Are we going to date again?" I shrugged and nodded. "If you want to..."

Richie looked up at me with a wide smile on his face. "I'd love that..." we sat grinning at each other before leaning in for a kiss.

His lips lightly touched mine for a moment before there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it." Richie offered. I watched as he walked away, towards the door.

He opened it and was greeted by a very angry Beverly. "What the fuck are you doing here?!"

"We're back together!" Richie beamed. There was a loud slap and Richie held his cheek. "If you ever break her heart again Tozier, I will drop you down the well for Pennywise."

Richie nodded and Beverly blew a kiss at me. I smiled and caught it, blowing one back. She walked back down my porch and waved goodbye.

Richie closed the door and continued to hold his cheek. "I'd better tell Bill not to make her mad... That was the most painful thing ever."

I walked over at kissed his cheek lightly, "Would cuddles help?" He nodded and pushed his glasses up his nose. "Yes, yes they would." I said happily.

Richie nodded and grabbed my hand, leading me up to my room. I sighed and followed him, excited about the extra attention.

Richie's a real fucking dickhead sometimes...

But he can also be really sweet...

I guess that's why I love him so much, because of the sweet side he doesn't show to anyone but me... All because we're just so stupidly in love.
