Quirks where something many people had, yet nobody fully understood. That's why they brought one child in, his quirk was rather powerful it even changed his appearance. They took it upon themselves to research the teens quirk, in doing so they tested Quirks limits and capabilities.
~Shino's POV~
Monarch academy had informed their students that a project of quirks had gone too far, employees came back home injured and there where rumours of a captive taken against their will. It was my 'Job' to check it out..
~Artemis's POV~
I crawled out of bed again, the same room I had known practically all my life. I groaned and slipped on a new set of clothes before heading out. I know being taken captive sounds like a nightmare but it's not really all that bad, I still get fed each day and I can speak to the people on the other side... well. Only during 'testing' but... it's still something! I made my bed and strolled down towards the dinning room, I rubbed my eyes taking a mug off the counter, clicking it into the machine and filling it up with my favourite kind of coffee.
There was a loud click from behind me and a familiar smell began to fill the room "Breakfast? Finally!" I yelled "TOOK YOU GUYS LONG ENOUGH!" I walked over and took the plate out of the hatch in the door placing it on the table, a turned around and charged into the room "ITS BEEN YEARS NOW! YOU'VE GOT WHAT YOU WANTED, LET ME OUTTA HERE!" I yelled through the door, hearing the footsteps fade down the hallways I had only ventured down three times a week. I rubbed the tears away from my eyes "No...I won't let them break me." I thought to myself, gritting my teeth and continuing to take my coffee out of its chamber and start with my breakfast.
I walked into the Library and scanned the shelves "Harry potter... silver eyes..." I read out loud "Oooo! What's this?" I slipped the book out of the shelf. I had sorted the shelf's to where books I have read and books I hadn't read where in different parts of the library, sadly I enjoyed books more then most activities in this hell so the books where beginning to run out. I had asked them to restock the books but they seemed to ignore me. "This place is full of battyfish..." I mumbled, staring at the camera, sticking my tongue out and flicking the book open.
"2408!" A voice yelled from the outside, abruptly interrupting my reading. "Not today.." I thought, placing the book down and running out the library, I jogged down the hall and through open the door, Inside the room was the pool it was decorated with a large, fake rock with sprinkled down water into the main pool. I ran around the side and clawed myself onto the large rock "2408 is refusing to cooperate, send in backup" the voice boomed over the intercom. I hugged my knees and attempted to hide.
"Artemis." Doctor Harvey said, entering the room and scanning the place "if you don't come out now there will be major punishments." I began to shake, still resisting. "Hurt me all you want, I'll never make your life easier" I thought to myself "HEYAA!" I yelled feeling a grip on my wrist pulling me down, I tumbled on the ground attempting to scurry to my feet "Grab him." Doctor Harvey stared me dead in the eyes "W-Wait! P-Please" I stuttered, attempting to escape.
~Shino's POV~
I managed to break into the building "Right, what exactly are we looking for?" Kol asked, trotting behind "2408 has been contained," a voice echoed through the building "W-What?" Ana stuttered "I'll try find this '2408' you guys shut down this place" I said running down the halls "Alright, be safe Shino." Colin said, retreating the other way.
~Artemis's POV~
I sat in a large white room, I already knew what would happen, it was the same each time yet they insisted on it happening. Needles..injections... then trials, pain. "Alright Artemis" Doctor Harvey slid through the door "Let's hope it works this time.." A sharp needle twinkled in the light "Your pea sized brain will never succeed in anything you desire.." i mumbled, spite and hatred in my voice "You're hopeless and a decrease to the world. You are a disease." My main objective was to hurt them in away way shape or form. "The only disease here is you. And we are attempting to cure you." Doctor Harvey replied "You are attempting to poison a child who has done nothing to you only for your monetary gain! Your selfish and you only care about money, power and knowledge!" I yelled, tears welling up in my eyes "You're going to kill me!" I sobbed "then good riddance." Doctor Harvey stared down at me with a putrid glare.
The door flung open, Doctor Harvey spun around dropping the needle on the ground as it shattered. A boy while light orange hair and a yellow streak stood in the door-way "Who the hell are you?!" Doctor Harvey yelled "Stay on the ground and wait for authorities to come.. or else." The boy held a glowing sword up to Doctor Harvey, he turned his head and stared me dead in the eyes "and you?" He spoke "E-Eh?.."
~Shino's POV~
"E-Eh?.." the black and white haired boy stuttered "Are you 2...2408?" I asked him, almost forgetting the number "No, he's my son." The male who I had pined spoke "I wasn't asking you" I growled "U-Um... I-I'm Artemis.. they refer to me as 2408..." he stuttered "Is he your father or?.." I asked Artemis "H-He's Doctor Harve-" "Shut your mouth you despicable child!" The black haired man snapped, I slammed my foot on his chest and held him on the ground "Doctor?.." I continued "Doctor Harvey..." Artemis repeated "I'm so sorry I don't really know what's happening!" Tears built up in his eyes "what do you know?" I questioned "I was taken here at a young age... they're obsessed with quirk transformation and combination. Their goal is to either give me multiple quirks or do something to mine, I'm not quite sure.." He informed me "what's going on?" Kol said, running into the room "Found the captive" I replied "Y-You're really scared.." Ana mumbled, staring Artemis in the eyes "H-How?.." Artemis replied "It's her quirk!" Flex smiled "O-Oh..." "Who are you?" Colin said "A-Artemis..." Artemis answered "Let's get you out of here, do you want to take anything with you?" I asked, Artemis shook his head.
We stud outside of the facility watching the police take the 'scientists' away, Artemis seemed fascinated by anything and everything outside "How long have you been in there?" Kol asked "I...don't really know, I was brought here when I was a young child" he replied "any home? Family?" I asked "Ah, parents are dead.. only child. I have no idea what happened to the house!" He looked at me "A-Ah! I-I'm so sorry" Ana replied "I'm sure monarch would let you stay!" Flex said "Monarch?." Artemis pondered "You really are out of touch" Colin said
We took Artemis back to monarch academy, Kowalski said that Artemis could stay and study as monarch. He moved into dorm 8 with me and RikKu, Artemis was incredibly blunt and out of touch with practically everything but it was kinda cute to see him running and twirling around fascinated by everything. He was incredibly nervous though, he seemed petrified of anything to do with his quirk, he favoured different people, myself included, and he would jump every time somebody touched him. Though every time I would hold his hand and or gave him a hug he would jump at first but then melt into the touch. Artemis was an incredibly sweet person and he was a great listener, I was kinda excited to see how the future would play out now that he was here...

Fun fact: Artemis's number actually had quite a bit of meaning behind it. Artemis's birthday is 20th February (I'm pretty sure) and Artemis is actually the name of a god, she is the twelfth God.
