Three years wait

"You sure you three will be ok?" Inpu asked, holding onto Atlas's shoulder to stop him from walking. Atlas huffed, shaking his dad off and folding his arms. "We'll be ok dad, seriously. You worry about them too much." Atlas replied, looking at Inpu briefly before watching over his siblings as they waited for him patiently.

Inpu felt his throat tighten. "It's not them i'm worried about, it's you. I love you ok." He told him, ruffling Atlas's hair. Atlas looked at him with a foreign expression before nodding and walking off with Femi and Lotus towards camp. Inpu watched them leave, finding his relationship with them almost harder to mend now that Bryan was back.

Bryan, the sample definition of perfect. Perfect dad, perfect husband. It was like now they've met their perfect dad it made them realise how much more pathetic of an attempt Inpu did at parenting. How could he ever live up to Bryan.

Speaking of, his husband was currently on bed rest. God, it was their first moment alone in three years. Inpu couldn't fault it, all Atlas probably has wanted was a good dad, and he idolised Bryan. Meeting him now there was never a moment Atlas wasn't with Bryan. Plus, he deserved time to finally meet his own children...

But he couldn't deny how he missed their moments. Their reunion. Bryan was all he ever thought about and he barely had any time with him. Maybe they could finally talk alone now, so Inpu could ask him why? Why'd he do it? Gods how he missed Bryan-

Bryan?...

Inpu stud in the empty bedroom, a crinkle in the bedding where Bryan had once been. "Bryan?" Inpu called out, scanning the room for any sign of life. "Bryan?!" He called again, more frantically.

"Dear?" Bryan replied quickly, the bathroom door opening to reveal him. Inpu sighed, releasing the tension in his shoulders. "Don't scare me like that" he scolded, running up to Bryan who met him half way into a hug, not bothering to keep a hand on the towel tied around his waist.

"I was just in the shower baby, it's ok" Bryan soothed, kissing his temple as Inpu hugged him tightly, hands feeling the warm skin of his back. Inpu let his head stay on his shoulder, ignoring the water droplets that melted into his clothes.

Inpu let out a breath he didn't realise he had been holding, finally letting Bryan go as he chuckled at him. Bryan kissed Inpu's forehead, watching his ears droop down. "You should've asked for my help hun, you're meant to be on bed rest" Inpu scolded softly, Bryan's smile shifting from teasing to gentle

"I know, but i'm feeling ok, really" Bryan reassured, taking a few steps away from him to pick up a free towel from the bed to dry his hair. "Unless you just want an excuse to shower with me babe" Bryan glanced at Inpu, watching his cheeks instantly flush a hot pink

Inpu scoffed, folding his arms at him instantly "You can't be thinking like that Bryan, you couldn't walk two days ago. You need rest" Inpu reminded him strongly, an exaggerated pout hitting Bryan's face as he rubbed his hair dry before dropping the towel elsewhere.

Inpu raised an eyebrow to dismiss Bryan's pout, Bryan smiling widely in amusement as he grabbed his folded pyjama shirt off the bed. Inpu immediately looked away as Bryan changed, feeling himself flush again. "Inpu we're married." Bryan's voice called to him, Inpu's eyes still remaining fixed on a nearby wall out of what he could only imagine was respect, or nervousness. Or trying not to be attracted to his husbandness (impossible when your husband is the son of Aphrodite)

His eyes were forced away from his spot on the wall by Bryan's hand moving his chin "Stop acting like you haven't seen me naked" he giggled, kissing Inpu's face over and over. Inpu couldn't stop his lips from curling into a smile, meeting Bryan's embrace.

"I miss you" Inpu commented In Bryan's ear, holding him tighter as if he couldn't get enough of the contact. Bryan scoffed and struggled out of Inpu's embrace "If you missed me so much then why do you keep shrugging me offff" Bryan whined, causing Inpu to sigh
