Being a hero was basically being part of a police team but just with more danger and pressure. Maybe a little more respect too if you were lucky. However the general rules applied to heroes as well, including needing knowledge in first aid.

Kowalski authorised work experience in a hospital, basically the students of class 1-B would temporarily act as medical students on visitation to a hospital to be eduction on active treatment of a patient. Avian divided the class into groups 4, meaning 4 students per group not to overwhelm any patients.

Venus, Ronin, Moodswing and Avian all took one group. Blake, Jack, Artemis and Shino were group 3, led by Ronin. Nobody could deny it was exciting, finally escaping the familiar classroom and being able to visit a real hospital and real patients - it was nerve-wracking and exciting to be having real experience and first hand encounters.

Ronin was the mentor of group 3, so when they arrived at the hospital they were given a list of patients to attend and speak with throughout the day, some with undiagnosed conditions they were meant to help diagnose and some stereotypical patients, such as ulsters, pregnancy, infections and so forth.

10 patients, depending on how long spent with each patient, however visiting for four hours none of them new if they'd run out of patients or have too many on the list. As soon as Shino saw the patient next he knew Artemis would just be perfect. A young girl, 11 years old with jaundice, she had just came in with her father meaning no doctors were able to speak to her and her father yet.

Ronin knocked on the door, her father glancing over as they entered. "Hi Mr Sexton, unfortunately many of our doctors are with other patients at the moment, would it be ok if our med students were to ask you some questions? Just so the doctors know exactly whats happened when they come in" Ronin introduced, the four of them waiting to the side.

"Yes, yes thats ok, anything for someone to treat her" Mr sexton consented, hesitantly stepping to the hide of the bed to allow space for her to be treated. The little girl sat on the bed, her dark curly hair her usual colour however her skin a tinted yellow with yellow colouring around her eyes.

Artemis stepped forward, grabbing a small light from the medical cabinet and shining it into her eyes. "Can you follow the light for me?" He asked calmly, watching her eyes follow as Artemis moved the light from side to side.

He flicked the light off, glancing over to watch Jack and Blake talking to the father, presumably asking questions like when did the discolouration start. "Hmm... it doesn't seem to be a condition in her eyes.. i'm thinking could it be a liver issue? Cirrhosis?" Artemis pointed out, glancing at Shino who didn't seem to oppose the idea.

"But that's from drinking.. nobody in our family drinks?" The dad asked, quite frantic and concerned. "Not exactly, it could be genetic, is there anyone in your family with it?" Shino asked, watching a confident smile form on Artemis's face knowing his idea could he correct. "N..Not that i know of, her mother's absent so i don't know." Her dad continued.

"We'll call a doctor for an ultrasound of her liver, it'll only be a few minutes" Blake told the two, smiling comfortingly as the four floated out the room leaving the family in peace. Jack gave Arti a small high-five once they were out of view "good call" he said, quiet enough no other patient could hear. Arti smiled at him, following Ronin to the main era where he resigned their room for a liver ultrasound.

"What rooms next?" Blake asked, watching Ronin scan the paper before ushering them into the hospital elevator. "The maternity ward" Ronin replied, still reading whatever was written on the slightly crumbed sheet. "Oh.. we don't have to deliver a baby do we?" Shino asked awkwardly, honestly already irritated by the flickering hospital lights and plain white walls, and definitely not in the mindset to deliver a baby for the first time.
