Shino Vs Artemis oneshot!

(I wanted go go for something different and write a story in a narration POV instead of choosing a characters POV. Let me know if you prefer this style or you'd like to continue with character POVS)

Avian had organised a student vs student sparring match, each student was put against someone who would really challenge their skills. Avian made sure to keep the fight as fair as possible, putting students with similar cardio and strength against each other. Avian's goal in this was to improve strategic fighting and using other skills instead of just quirks and strength.

Each student had been listened against someone else.
Kiyo vs Davis
Blake vs RikKu
Clover vs Kane
Elliot vs Shizu
Jack vs Roxie
Lynx vs Yukie
And finally, Artemis vs Shino.

Shino was decently on edge knowing he'd have to fight Artemis, other then maybe Blake and RikKu no other students had to fight close friends. Shino was fighting his boyfriend! Not to mention, Artemis was really skilled with reflexes and Cardio from what he heard from Mania during their student vs teacher fight. Shino hated to admit he wasn't the best with speed and agility, he'd have to play smart.

Shino sat in the dome by Jack, both in their hero costumes and waiting for their fight. It was Blake and RikKu's fight, their quirks were incredibly similar so it would be a different one. Shino and Jack watched their friends sparr as they sat in an almost awkward silence

"You nervous?" Jack asked, breaking the silence as Shino sat up a little more and laughed "is it obvious?" He replied with a calm tone, he didn't seem incredibly stressed, just on edge. "Not really?" Jack replied, not knowing the best and most comforting response to give to Shino. Shino sighed, clipping his mask off and setting it on the floor next to him "it just feels wrong fighting my own boyfriend. Like i don't wanna hurt him!" Shino groaned, continuing to watch the students sparr in-front of him refusing eye contact with Jack

"Shino i can promise you Arti is just as nervous." Jack almost laughed, his gaze fell into the crowd of students almost opposite to them walking RikKu and blakes fight. Shizu stud up cheering RikKu on as Davis, Yuuto, Artemis and Clover sat on the floor also watching. Arti sat my Davis and Yuuto, seemingly talking to Davis, Jack could tell by Artemis giggling at certain points and talking back to Davis. It was slightly awkward when Arti glanced over and Shino quickly looked at the floor. Shino and Artemis hadn't spoken since the pairs were announced

Artemis noticed Shino quickly look away and he sighed, hugging his knees slightly "do you think he's annoyed about us having to fight?.." Arti mumbled, Davis sighed "i...I don't think shino would be annoyed.. at you at least.. maybe just.. more worried? Worried about hurting or fighting you?" Davis tried to reply as comfortingly as possible, Arti shrugged, resting his hand on the side on his cheek as he watched RikKu jump out the way of different attacks from Blake.

"He'll be fine Arti, you both know you don't really have a choose. Plus Shino wouldn't be mad if he looses" Clover added, almost bored of the fight. Arti rubbed his eyes with a groan "it's not that i just don't wanna hurt him.." his tone was more anxious then usual "i mean Blake and RikKu are friends but blake's going all out on RikKu.. i think we sorta have to at least try. You don't have to hurt him, just stun him to win?" Shizu smiled, taking their eyes off the fight for the first time "O-Oh!" Yuuto jumped as a loud bang came from infront of them as each student faced the fight. RikKu had tried to use her explosions on blake, However blake drained the heat from it. It stunned her but she wasn't as hurt. RikKu went dizzy from the explosion and Blake managed to apprehend her

As soon as the whistle went to show Blake had won, She immediately let go of RikKu and sat her up to make sure she was ok. Arti and Clover cheered for Blake as she helped RikKu up, Shizu running over and high-fiving blake before helping a dazed RikKu away from the pitch. "Ooooo!! Clover it's your turnnn!!" Arti teased them, gently shoving them towards the pitch as Clover sighed
