Elaine's POV

I was just in the house playing with Billie and Aidan as Skylar was sleeping when my phone started ringing and it was,Brian Zara's boyfriend.

Billie: who is it so late at night?

Elaine: it's Brian

Billie: answer

I put him on speaker

Elaine: hey Brian how are you?

Brian: I'm good you?

Elaine: I'm good

Brian: sorry to disturb you so late at night but I just wanted to ask if Zara is with you, we're supposed to go on a date.

I turn to look at Billie and she shrugs at me

Elaine: oh yeah, she's here with me. She wasn't feeling too well so she came over

Brian: okay thank goodness she's safe, uhm so what's wrong with her? I can bring her necessary meds?

Elaine: Brian don't panic I'm a doctor too she's in safe hands, no don't come she's very emotional right now it's that time of the month

Brian: oh okay

Elaine: okay bye, you're disturbing our girl night

Brian: okay sure tell her I love her

Elaine: I will

I quickly drop the call and look at Billie.

Elaine: see now I had to lie to poor Brian

Billie: where is Zara?

Elaine: I don't know but I bet she's with Emanuel

I stand up

Billie: where are you going?

Elaine: to the penthouse to look for her

Billie pulls me so I don't go

Billie: okay let's say you find them then what? Are you gonna drag Zara out? Babe Zara is your best friend

Elaine: exactly Billie and that automatically means my siblings are off limits to her

Aidan starts crying because I raised my voice a little bit. Billie takes him in her arms and shush him.

Billie: calm down you're scaring the kid

Elaine: sorry I didn't mean to

Billie: okay on a lighter note though, so what if you found them during the act

Elaine: (giggle) eewwww no, I don't think I wanna see that

Billie: (chuckle) calm down then

Elaine: that would be so gross

Billie: you never really told me how he's your brother

Elaine: oh yeah

I sit down next to her take Aidan then lean on her

Elaine: my dad and his mom dated before he dated my mom. According to my parents Emanuel's mom was the one who was supposed to marry my dad but he fell in love with my mom. My dad was forbidden to see my mom or else they'll rip him off his inheritance, so my parents broke up and my dad went back to his mom and they conceived him while they were still in high school. Well to my grandparents that was a blessing because that meant the marriage that they had arranged would go through. My dad had a request to finish off his studies first. He then met my mom again in university and yeah the rest is history.

Billie: their story is like a fairy tale

Elaine: yeah I guess you can't stand in a way of true love

Billie: but you want to

Elaine: babe it's different, Emanuel just doesn't care about anyone but him

Billie: he does care about you

Elaine: I bet that's why he's all over my friends

Billie: babe let it slide

She pecks my lips
