Elaine's POV

Lisa and I were still deep in our kiss when the door opened. I pull away and wipe the lipgloss off his lips.

Zara: I didn't know you had company

Elaine: no it's fine come in

She comes in bearing takeaway bags. I move from the chair I was seated in and go sit in my chair and Zara sits down.

Elaine: baby this is my best friend Zara, Zara this is Lisa

Lisa: nice to meet you Zara

Zara: nice to meet you too

Lisa: I'll take my leave now

Elaine: but you haven't eaten anything

Lisa: I'll get something on the way

Elaine: no I'm sure Zara doesn't mind right?

Zara: no not at all

Lisa: it's okay Fiori

Elaine: baby I know you won't eat if you walk out that door

Lisa: okay then I'll grab a few bites

Elaine: (smile) good

Zara had brought us lasagna and Lisa brought us burgers. Now the thing is they brought two if each so I share with Lisa.

Zara: so what are your intentions with my friend

Elaine: Zara!

Lisa: (smile) make her my wife

I turn to look at Lisa and he was dead serious.

Zara: (giggle) I hope you're not playing her

Elaine: gosh Zara, what's up with embarrassing me?

Zara: what? I'm looking out for you, she's good looking so I don't want her to play you

Yeah people didn't know that Lisa was intersexual so most people thought he was a woman, I told you my baby is pretty.

Elaine: gosh Zara

Lisa: (chuckle) trust me I won't

Zara: you better or I'll chop you into pieces

I was now face palming because Zara was just getting started on embarrassing me. When they were still talking like that Lisa's phone rings. He goes outside to answer it.

Elaine: what's wrong with you?

Zara: I'm tryna look out for you

Elaine: (cluck)

Zara: I must say she's pretty hot thou and she smells nice too

Elaine: (blush) I know

Zara: look at you

I just roll my eyes and smile at her then Lisa comes back in then.

Lisa: baby I have to go now, there's something that needs my attention

I walk up to him and hold his shoulders

Elaine: is everything okay?

Lisa: yeah I'll sort it out

He cupped my face and kissed me, Lisa is very unapologetic and he doesn't really care about who's there and who's not. We kiss for sometime then he lowly whispers in my ear.

Lisa: I had a great weekend

I smile and peck his lips then he goes out. Now I was left with Zara who kept asking me questions.

After work I went home and started making dinner for me and the kids. Then they came back and Billie actually joined us for dinner which I didn't mind because she had to tuck them in before their bedtime. She tucked them in and came to where I was.

Elaine: what did y'all do this weekend?

Billie: I took them to an amusement park and they were so happy

Elaine: (smile) I can imagine

Billie: Elaine

Elaine: yeah?

Billie: I thought we didn't keep things from each other

Elaine: yeah, what do you mean?

Billie: Skylar told me that you introduced them to your special friend and she saw y'all kiss

I keep quiet for a minute, what I did was kinda unfair because I was one of the first people Billie told when she started dating but now I wasn't doing the same.

Elaine: I was gonna tell you, I just needed some more time

Billie: I'm not trying to make you feel guilty but I just wanted you to tell me

Elaine: I'm sorry

Billie: it's fine, she makes you happy?

The thought of him brings a smile to my face and I nod. Immediately after that guilt washes over me as I realise that I just told my ex that I'm much happier than I was when I was with them.
