Elaine's POV

Today it was the night of the dinner and I had invited everyone. I was busy in the kitchen doing the finishing touches on the food and Billie kept stealing from the pot.

Elaine: babe stop you're gonna finish it

Billie: I'm tasting

Elaine: you only taste once

Elaine: thank you, now I have to go freshen up

Billie: want me to join you?

Elaine: no you'll only delay me

I walk upstairs and go freshen up after freshening up I wear a burgundy dress. Then walk downstairs after sometime people start arriving. We were all there except for Zara and Emanuel, then they finally grace us with their presences. When they arrive they were laughing on top of their voices but Zara instantly stop when she saw Brian

Elaine: hey guys you're finally here

Zara fakes a smile at me then she goes to sit next to Brian.

Zara: baby

Brian: hey my love, where have you been?

Zara: I got stuck in traffic

Billie: babe are you alright?

Elaine: yeah

Billie: can I talk to you for a second?

She opens the chair for me then subtly push me to the kitchen.

I didn't notice Zara walking up to us, I turn around to face her

Elaine: from getting hurt, Zara you belong with Brian

Zara: no Elaine I don't, he's way too uptight for me

Zara: no Elaine let me be, if Emanuel hurts me that's on me nobody else is to blame but me.

Elaine: but Zara you love Brian

Oh my goodness now Brian is getting involved, maybe this dinner was a bad idea after all. Zara freeze in her spot for a minute, in fact we all do but then she turns around to look at him

Brian: Zara what do you mean you thought you loved me?

I swallow my saliva hard, he shifts his attention away from from Zara to me now. He slowly walks up to me but Billie pulls me behind her and shields me.

Brian: Elaine who is he?

Billie: calm down

Brian: you don't get to tell me to calm down, I said who the fuck is he?

Billie: you also don't get to talk tome or my wife like that!

Zara: it's Emanuel

Brian: what you're leaving me for a cocky bastard?

Emanuel: I guess I'm the cocky bastard

While he was saying that Brian connected a fist to his jaw, Emanuel didn't think twice about returning it to. Okay this is not how I imagined the dinner would go, they were now straight up street fighting. They started to break things around them and Emanuel got on top of Brian and was punching him. Well my brother is a rebel and has always been so fighting is something he's good at. Zara and I were screaming for them to stop while Billie was trying to pull Emanuel off of Brian, after everyone heard the noise they came then Fin helped Billie pull Emanuel off Brian. When he got off I quickly rushed to Brian who was covered in blood, he just yanked me off and stood up grabbed his coat and left. Then everyone's attention turned on me and I stood there like a wet chicken.

Zara: I hope you're happy now

Elaine: Zara I'm sorry I didn't mean for any of this to happen

Drew: what's going on?

Billie: now is not the time Drew

Elaine: Zara please forgive me

She just grabbed her things and left, everyone started leaving one by one. Finally only me, Billie and Emanuel were left. I go grab the first aid kit and nurse Manu in silence. Billie walks to our bedroom, I can tell she's mad at me. After nursing him I go to our bedroom and find Billie on her chair writing.

Elaine: baby

Billie: (silence)

Elaine: I'm sorry I should've listened to you

I walk up to her and turn her around and start kissing her neck but she just flinches and get me off her. She then stands up to change I undress and follow her, when I get to her I lean on her with my bare breasts but she just sighs and turn around.

Billie: I want to sleep Elaine

Elaine: baby I'm sorry, let me show you how sorry I am

Billie: I don't know which part of I want to sleep don't you understand, or it's just you being resistant to everything because you know it all?

She said snapping at me then bumped my shoulder and walk out the closet, I wear an oversized t-shirt then get in bed and spoon her. She just let's me be
