Elaine's POV

Zara stands there shocked and looks at me. I just go back to my seat then sit down.

Zara: what just happened? You're dating?

Elaine: hi to you too

Zara: hey how are you?

Elaine: I'm good you?

Zara: I'm good

Elaine: so you were saying?

Zara: what the fuck bitch you've been dating all along? Wait isn't it that girl from the restaurant?

Elaine: one question at a time

Zara: what's her name?

Elaine: Lisa

Zara: so you're dating?

Elaine: yeah we're dating,

Zara: for how long?

Elaine: a month now

Zara: what? And you didn't even tell me?

Elaine: because I wanted to be sure first

Zara: are you sure now?

Elaine: (smile) sorta

Zara: I'm so mad at you for keeping me in the dark, but anything else I'm happy for you

Elaine: thank you

Zara: I can't believe this

Elaine: (smile) so what brought you here?

Zara: oh yeah, Elaine Cassandra Johnson would you please do me the honour and be my maid of honour

Elaine: (smile) yes

I got off my chair and went to hug her.

Elaine: so you're really tying the knot?

Zara: yeah

Elaine: I'm so happy for you

Zara: thank you, we're finally sisters now

Elaine: you've always been my sister

Zara: now the thing is, Billie is also invited

Elaine: I don't see any problem there

Zara: okay, I have to go now

Elaine: okay bye

She then went away and I called my brother to congratulate him. He was so happy to get married. After my shift I went home. I prepared dinner for me and the kids then Billie came in with them.

Aidan: mommie

He runs to me and I hug him.

Elaine: mommie missed you

Aidan: I missed mommie too

Elaine: oh my baby

I pick him up and he rests his head on my shoulder. Then Billie walks in carrying Skylar. 

Billie: hey

Elaine: hey, how are you?

Billie: I'm good you?

Elaine: I'm good, what's wrong with them they don't look fine?

Billie: I'm not sure I think they have a cold

I feel both of their temperatures and they were okay

Elaine: they don't have a temperature, Aidan what's wrong?

Aidan: aunt Laura said we shouldn't tell

Billie: what are you talking about?

Elaine: Skylar what happened?

She looked at me and cried, I give Aidan to Billie and take Skylar.

Elaine: Sadie talk to mommie

Skylar: aunt Laura slapped me

Billie: she did what?

Elaine: why would she do that?

Skylar: she said she doesn't want us to come anymore because mom doesn't pay attention to her when we're around

Elaine: I'm sorry baby don't cry

Billie: don't cry angel mom will deal with her okay?

Skylar nods, I feel tears threatening my eyes. I look at Billie and she was fuming.

Elaine: do you want food?

Skylar: (shook her head)

Elaine: Aidan?

Aidan: I want to sleep with Sadie

Elaine: okay

They were already wearing their PJ's meaning they already took a bathe. I was suspicious so I examined them and they were fine so I tucked them in my bed. I then went downstairs.

Elaine: Billie I don't like this, if this is how things will be you'll never see my kids again

Billie: Elaine you're making it seem like it's my fault I didn't know

Elaine: when did this happen?

Billie: probably when I went to get them food because I found them like this and they didn't wanna talk to me.

Elaine: (sigh) I don't like this, if you still want the kids to come over you better make it a safe environment for them

Billie: I'll sort it out

Elaine: you better. I can't believe your girlfriend, she has the nerve to put her hand on a eight year old. Skylar is a kid for goodness sake, if she said something in appropriate she should've disciplined her another way but slap her?
