A/N: Thanks to a great friend of mine: SapphireAlena (go check her story The Jedi Reborn. It is really good), who is editing chapter by chapter. This is the first one, so don't get surprise if you see some differences.
The Protagonists:
Her face hidden by the large hood on her cloak, Ines Talia wandered Mos Eisley. As she rounded a corner, the Alderaanian quickly huddled against the wall and pulled her hood over her face. Two white-armored stormtroopers guarded the next bay.
Great. Imps again. How in the world am I going to help Leia now? I can't even get out of Mos Eisley. She slid a crumbled piece of paper out of her sleeve. I've got to get this message to General Kenobi. Who knows what's happening to her now, all alone in a dark cell on Vader's ship. I can't fail my best friend. I just can't. How in the world am I going to get to the Dune Sea now?
Keeping her face covered, she hustled across the packed-dirt thoroughfare to a grimy cantina and waited for the doors to slide open. As she ducked through the hatch, rousing threats and the hum of a strange weapon greeted her. A grizzled man swung a flaming blue saber and severed the arm of another man.
A Jedi! Obi-Wan! I doubt there's two on this dustball. Slowly, she picked her way around the crowd until she was on the opposite side of the bar from them—the perfect position to watch without drawing attention to herself.
Focusing her gaze on the older man, she observed him with a young man with blond hair, another guy a bit older than the first with dark hair, and an imposing Wookiee.
Out of the corner of her eye through the small window in the wall, she caught the reflection of the sun glinting off the white armor. She had to get out there, but she couldn't lose sight of the old man and young boy. She gathered her skirts and followed the two through the door, wanting to warn them but not catching them.
For an old man, he sure moves quickly.
She hung back as they headed toward a beat-up landspeeder. In the packed traffic of the mid-afternoon, Ines was able to surreptitiously follow the young one as he headed off in the vehicle without the old man, but Kenobi had all but vanished in front of her.
A few minutes later, though, and he and the young one strolled down the street together while two stormtroopers headed in their direction from a side street. Hiding in a corner, she grabbed them by their tunics and hauled him inside of a compartment, closing the door behind her.
"Cut it out!" the young man said, pulling away from her.
"Patience, Luke," the older man said as he straightened his robes.
"General Obi Wan Kenobi?" Ines asked.
"Yes," the old man responded.
"I'm glad I found you, sir" she replied.
