Chapter 151 - In Labor

After Leia informed everyone that her water had broken, everyone decided to take her to the Senate Hospital. Aurea stayed with the students for a little while before take them to the Temple, while Dan, Gracy went home with the Twins, Ben, and Iris, alongside with R2 and 3PO, since Luke and Ines wanted to go with Leia to the Hospital, while Chewie went home with to get the babies bag before heading to the Hospital.

Once Leia got to the hospital that was when her contractions started. Right away they get into her room, where Ines helped to take off her dress and put the hospital attire and helped her to get on the bed, the moment Han and Luke entered inside, alongside with the doctor to check on her.

"Mrs Solo, I want you to lay down, so I can check how are your dilation is at the moment. Try to relax," He said at the same time he was putting his gloves on.

"It is easy for you to say when it is not you who have two kids trying to get of you through a tiny hole," Leia said, making Ines and Luke looked at each other both trying to hold a laugh, while Han was with his eyes wide and mouth to him.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't worry, she is not be the first to tell this and she will not be the last, trust me," he said while he examined Leia's cervix. After a while, he stood up and taking his gloves off, he spoke to her, "Well you have 3 cm of dilation so it will take a while to reach the moment to push. I assume you want a natural birth, right?"

"I want drugs, doctor, please," she said to him.

"I will make the nurse to put you on an IV and give you something to ease the pain. I will check you from time to time. Everything is fine now," he said as he left the room.

Ines walked towards her sister in law and grabbed her hand.

"You need to breath, it helps, trust me,"

"How could you go through this twice without any drugs. You are crazy," Leia said to her and looking at Han, she grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer. "Listen to me half witter, scruffy looking, nerf herder, if you do this to me ever again, I will make sure I will be the one who put you in carbonite," she said the moment a contraction hit her and grabbing his hand she said. "Don't leave me."

Han looked at her and then to Luke and Ines.

"That is the pain talking. Trust me," Ines told him making Han nod.

The nurse came up and put the IV on Leia's left arm and wrapped a device around her belly, that was attached to the monitor where they could monitor the babies heart beat.

"Why are you doing that? Is anything wrong with my boys?" Han asked the nurse making her smile.

"Don't worry Father, this is a normal procedure. We do this to every mother who is giving birth," she said looking at him.

"Oh okay then. My sister in law didn't have any of this, so."

"That is because she had a home birth, not in a hospital," Luke said tapping his friend's shoulder.

The nurse nod and looked at Leia.

"The IV will start to work in a moment. I will come here to check on you once in a while. Try to relax. You still have a long day ahead of you," she said and left making Leia sighed and rest her head on her pillow.

"I will not have kids again. And you want to have another one? You're nuts," Leia said looking at Ines who giggled

"Trust me, when you held your babies in your arms, you forget all the pain you went through" she said tapping her arm.
