The elevator came to a stop and Izumi followed the brunette out and towards a large set of doors.
"She's waiting for you inside." the woman said, opening the doors. Izumi looked up and saw a large chair and someone sitting in the chair facing away from them.
"I have brought Miss Toshinori, Lady Lucet." the woman said, with a bow.
"Thank you, you may go, Holly Sue." the voice from the chair said.
While the brunette was leaving, the chair turned and Izumi saw a woman with hair as Blue as the Night Sky and eyes that shine bright like Ambers.
"Hello Miss Toshinori." the woman said.
"Lady Lucet."
This woman is Iris Lucet, an elegant businesswoman and is the Head Director in her department. She's highly talented, as she was known as a Fencing Champion back when she was in high school, she can speak English, French, Japanese and understands Latin, and she's Catholic. She is also Melissa's boss.
"It seems you came during Melissa's lunch break?" Iris said.
"Yes, it just happened to be my break as well." Izumi said.
There was so much intensity in the room, the sound of a pen dropping could be heard. But once the doors behind Izumi were shut, both of them exhaled.
"How was my acting today, Izumi?" Iris said, with a warm smile.
"Excellent as always, Iris!" Izumi said, giving her a thumbs up.
Iris is also very close friends with Izumi.
"Goodness, it always feels like I have to put on a show when you're around, sorry." Iris said, massaging her shoulder.
"It's fine, Melissa hasn't figured it out yet. So what made you want to talk to me today?" Izumi asked.
"Well there was a list of things I was wanting to talk to you about, but I can only think of a few. So how's Emra?" Iris asked.
Iris and Izumi's cousin; Emra, went to college together, and though they both have completely different majors, they got along really well.
"She's doing fine, at least I think she is, she's still in England as a therapist. I haven't seen her since the funeral." Izumi said.
"Oh that's right, I forgot she doesn't live with you. I haven't heard from her in a while."
"Me either..."
"I heard about your most recent novel too, never would've thought you liked heroes and such wild things." Iris said.
"Yeah, I've liked that stuff since I was a kid. But I've finally got a new idea on what my next novel will be." Izumi said happily.
'Well at least she's still able to think about writing something new. I'm sure after her father's passing made it hard for her.' Iris thought.
"I'm a bit surprised you didn't finish your studies at college though, you were pretty close to getting your Bachelor's degree too." Iris said.
"Yeah, but after everything that's happened, I don't really have a lot of time anymore. That and..."
"And what?"
"Just some personal stuff, that's it!" Izumi said, thinking about her house.
Iris sighed, she knew the greenette was hiding something, but she wasn't going to try and push her buttons.
