First Sight

13: Knock On Wood

( Flashback again, sorry! )

"Katsuki Bakugo." 

Izuku froze, this cannot be happening. 

'No way... the new transfer student... is the same guy I met and helped this morning!?!? But how come everyone's saying he has a terrible personality?' Izuku thought and remembered how she asked him earlier that morning if he needed help. 

"Ah- I- I'm fine! I'm not lost!" 

'But after helping him out he seemed a bit nice to me, at least from the few words he gave me. Nothing ever comes easy for me, but I have to do this bet, even if it's to get my book back!' Izuku thought, feeling determined. 

"Bakugo, you can take the desk that's in front of Midoriya." the teacher said, and Izuku knew this had to have been some kind of twisted fate happening to her. 

Katsuki walked over to the far side of the room and sat at the desk that just so happened to be right in front of Izuku's. 

'Well great, either this is good luck or bad luck that this is happening to me.' Izuku thought.

Class resumed like usual and Izuku had to try her hardest not to get distracted about the bet or this new transfer student who was literally sitting in front of her. 

"And as all of you know, the exams will be earlier than usual this year, so I expect all of you to have high grades. It would be best that all of you study more often now than you did before, understand?" all of the class groaned. 

'Hmm, if I study at least 2 hours after school, then I should have just enough time for my training and then be able to do my housework at home. I'm lucky I don't have a job yet, but we'll worry about that when it happens.' Izuku thought, jotting everything down in her notebook.

"Oi-" 

Izuku looked up and saw the Ash Blond staring right down at her. 

"Y-Yes?" 

"Show me where the library is." he said with beaming eyes. Izuku noticed right away how he wasn't asking her, he was demanding her. 

"A-Any reason why?" 

"You were the one that helped me get to the Head Office this morning, so I'm gonna assume you know where the library is and can show me." Katsuki said. 

Though she wanted to say no, she remembered that she made a deal involving her comic book, so she sighed and knew she had to agree. 

"Okay, I'll show you after school." Izuku exhaled. 

Izuku noticed right away how though they were in the middle of a break between classes, this transfer student was still sitting there and watching her. She tried to ignore his staring at first, but then started getting a little annoyed. 

She took a deep breath and looked up at his bright Red eyes. 

"Is there something else you need?" Izuku asked kindly. 

"You're gonna have lunch with me today." 

And that made Izuku's body go numb. 

"Wait- what?" 

But before she could get an answer from him, it seemed the boys in the class wanted to talk to him first. 

'Lunch.... With him?!?!'

When lunch did come around, Izuku tried her best just to grab her bento box and go somewhere quiet.
