First Sight

101: Winter Heat

"Deku?" 

Izumi took a deep breath, and slowly turned around to see the blond looking at her. 

"Deku, what're you doing here?" he asked. 

"Hah- because I have something I wanted to ask you." Izumi said. 

"Something to ask me? You could've asked me once I got off work." Katsuki said. 

"I know, but... I feel like it wouldn't be as meaningful if I didn't come to your work to ask you." Izumi said. 

"O-...Okay... what is it?" he asked, getting up from his desk and walking up to her. 

The second he was only a foot in front of her, she grabbed his hands and looked up at him with her beaming Emerald Green eyes.

"Kacchan... I know it probably sounds silly of me to ask you this, but..." Izumi paused and tried to think of what to say and that's when she remembered how she asked him all those years ago in high school. 

"B-But... I was going to ask you... if you'd be free to... Erm- I was wanting to ask you if you'd spend Christmas Eve with me!" she yelled. 

The blond noticed right away how she didn't seem scared like she did the last time she asked him this question, but it didn't mean she wasn't nervous as he could feel her hands shaking. 

"Deku..." 

"I-I mean... you don't have to if you're already busy! I-I just assumed I could try and ask you if you'd make some free time, but I get it if you're busy... Kacchan..."

The room went silent and Izumi knew she said the right thing, but what she did not expect was for the blond to pull her into a tight hug and hold her. 

"Ah- K-Kacchan!" 

She wasn't sure why he randomly wanted to hug her, not that she was complaining though since it was a nice and warm hug. 

"U-Umm, Kacchan, is that a yes? Mn!" 

The second she tried to lift her face to see his, she instead felt his lips land onto hers. She shut her eyes and could feel his right hand caress her cheek and his left arm wrap around her waist pulling her closer to him. 

The second they finally did break, she slowly opened her eyes to see his Ruby Red eyes practically enticing her. 

"Take a guess." he said with a smirk.

Izumi instantly felt herself blushing and had to avert her eyes from his teasing smirk. 

"W-Well, I just- I wasn't sure if-" 

"Izuku." 

She looked back up at him. 

"We're dating, it's not like I would've said no, I was going to ask you this time actually since I know you've been busy." he said. 

"O-Oh, were you? I just... wanted to make sure to say it first then..." Izumi said nervously. 

"Tch- c'mere." he said and pulled her into a hug again and petted her head over and over.

"So... you really wanna spend Christmas Eve with me?" 

"If I didn't kiss you, then it would've meant no. You're still the same Deku as always." he said. 

"Hah- that's good to hear, I felt like how I felt back in high school when I asked you the same question." Izumi said. 

"Oh yeah, you were really weird that day when you asked me." Katsuki said. 

"O-Only because I was nervous! And it was the first time I really wanted to spend time with you outside of school!" Izumi exclaimed.
