First Sight

11: Blind Date

'Wait- no, don't tell me... my blind date is with him?!?!?' she thought, staring into his strong gaze. 

"Huh, didn't expect this to happen." Katsuki said, which struck Izumi's attention. 

"H-Hello there! So it looks like you're my blind date?" Izumi nervously asked, trying to smile it off. 

"And here I thought you disappeared and I wouldn't meet you again." Izumi froze, and she quickly looked up at him. 

"W-W-What do you mean by that?" she asked. 

Katsuki crossed his arms and lowered his head closer to her face, she started to blush right away. 

"You... left the banquet and didn't give me your name." Katsuki said in a serious tone.

Izumi froze, she remembered when she was at the banquet and that she met someone in the gardens, but since she didn't have her contacts or glasses on, she couldn't see their face. 

'No... don't tell me... he was the one I met at the banquet!?!?' Izumi thought. 

"Ah- w-well... I thought I told you I'm not used to large gatherings!?!" Izumi said, trying to look away from him. 

"Does that mean you went to high school with me?" 

Izumi froze, and soon looked back at him. His face looked pretty serious, it felt like if she said the wrong thing she would face some kind of punishment. 

'Wait- he knew this blind date would be with someone he went to high school with? How?' 

"Ah- actually..." 

Izumi tried to find a good excuse as he stood there analyzing her face.

"A-Actually, I'm a stand in!" Izumi yelled, not what he was expecting to hear. 

"A stand in?" 

"Y-Yes! The person you were supposed to meet got busy and asked me to step in, so I did!" Izumi said, as she thought this was good enough for an excuse. 

"So who was originally supposed to meet today?" Katsuki asked, squinting his eyes at her. 

'Seriously?!?! You're asking me that!?!?!' 

"I-I don't know, they're one of my friend's.... Friend... I never met them, but they asked me to do this since I wasn't busy, so I did." Izumi said nervously. 

Katsuki looked to be in deep thought and got curious as to why she would be a stand in. 

'Does that mean the person I was supposed to meet... would've been her?' he thought, thinking about a certain greenette.

"So..." 

Izumi looked up at him. 

"What's your name, since you clearly didn't give me anything last time." Katsuki asked. 

'Oh crap! What should I say? I can't say Izumi or Izuku! Think, Izumi, what would work?' Izumi thought and then she had a light bulb moment. 

"Emily." she said, looking back up at him. 

"Just call me Emily." Izumi said as she could feel drops of sweat pouring down her face. 

Katsuki stood there, he remained silent for a long minute and then looked down at her and nodded. 

"Katsuki." he said, she was surprised. 

He actually fell for the fake name and wig, and this meant she now had to go on with the blind date.
