First Sight

4: Plot Line

As she sat there in a daze, Izumi could tell nothing great was going to happen. 

"Izumi~ Izumi!" 

Izumi jolted and looked up to see her blonde friend sitting across from her. 

"You okay, you seem tired." 

This is Melissa Shields, she's a year older than Izumi, but both of them went to college together. She's known pretty well since her father is David Shields and he has his own company. 

Though Melissa originally planned to take over her father's company at some point, she changed and ended up becoming an editor and reporter for a different company.

"I'm fine, Melissa, I just didn't get a lot of sleep last night." Izumi said, adjusting her glasses. 

"Aw, don't tell me you're on writer's block again. I know you told me you were planning on working on a new novel, but is writer's block getting to you?" Melissa asked. 

"It's not necessarily the writer's block that's the issue. It's someone else." Izumi said, crossing her arms. 

"Someone else? Is your current editor quitting on you?" Melissa asked. 

"What? No! My house is on the line right now." Izumi said. 

"What? You mean the mansion that you and your mom and Uncle Might have lived in for years?!?!"

To elaborate, Melissa calls Izumi's father Uncle Might because of his nickname he had when he was in his prime. Yagi Toshinori was known in the Wrestling World as the powerful All Might, and he was an Undefeated Champion to add. 

Melissa just calls him Uncle Might since she couldn't say his name right when she was a kid. Though Melissa knew Izumi's father long before Izumi became his daughter, she has always looked up to him like an Uncle.

"What's wrong with the house then?" 

"Someone wants to buy the house and the property rights from me. They're a businessman, and he's been trying to bribe me with money because he believes I'm gonna fall for it." Izumi said with a glare. 

"A businessman, who?" Melissa asked. 

Izumi pulled out the same business card and handed it to the blonde. Melissa read the card and her face was shocked. 

"You mean-" 

"He tried to negotiate with me last night too." Izumi said, scratching the back of her head. 

"The Katsuki Bakugo wants to buy your house?!?!?" 

"No need for you to tell the entire world about it." Izumi muttered.

"Oh wow Izu, this is insane." 

"You're telling me." Izumi said. Melissa looked up at the greenette. 

"Why don't you just sell it to him then?" Izumi froze. 

"Melissa, are you out of your mind!?!? Why should I sell my house to him?!? You know how important that house is to me!" Izumi yelled. 

"I know, but maybe he'll pay you back and you could get an even better place to live in!" 

"Are you only saying this because you're in his fanclub?!?!" Izumi yelled, Melissa shut her mouth right away. 

"I'm not listening to you, since you're clearly just saying this because you admire him." Izumi said. 

"Okay, I'm sorry Izu! So what're you gonna do then?"
