79: Heart Attack

( 8 Week Time Skip )

After 8 weeks of working at the Dynamite Corp. while having to wear a cast, Izumi was finally getting her cast off her hand. This was the day she was looking forward to, not just because she was getting her cast off, but because she'd successfully worked at Katsuki's company for 3 months, and this meant she could keep her house. 

"It's been a while since you were the patient, Izumi." Takashi said. 

"Yeah, but I'll make sure to be careful this time." Izumi said, looking at her hand which just had the cast taken off.

"Hmph, you're not gonna try and punch any bad guys this time, right?" Takashi teased. 

"Yeah right, like that'll happen. And besides, if Emra found out I hurt myself again, she'd probably take action to try and make sure that wouldn't happen." Izumi said. 

"Hmph, you seem to always worry what Emra would say." Takashi said. 

"Well I have to, I lived at her place all through high school, and you are married to her. Have you heard from her recently?" 

"She told me she'd be returning to Japan soon, but didn't give me an exact date. Anyway, shouldn't you get back to work?"

"Actually, I have a day off! So I'll go visit my mom first and then take care of a few things at the library." 

"Just be careful now that you don't have a cast, and please don't break your hand again, we were lucky this third time was a terrible injury, but that doesn't mean we didn't have to be careful in surgery." Takashi said. 

"Right, thanks for the help, Takashi!" Izumi said and went in the direction of where her mom's hospital room was.

"Ah- Izuku?" 

"Hi mom! Sorry I haven't visited in a while. I had a little difficulty with my hand again..." Izumi said, lifting her right hand up for her mother to see. 

"Oh Izuku, did you have another incident that involved surgery?" 

"Yeah, but I just got my cast off, and I'll be careful. How're you feeling, mom? I can tell you've gotten some of your energy back after all the treatments." Izumi said. 

"Yes, I have a few more treatments left and then I'll be Cancer free." Inko said with a warm smile. 

'I haven't seen my mom smile like that in a long time, I've missed it.' Izumi thought.

"Hm? Where's Katsuki?" 

"O-Oh, he's at work right now, but I'll get to see him when he's done with work for the day." Izumi said. 

"I see... my future son-in-law has been very considerate to visit me." Izumi froze. 

"Huh? F-Future son-in-law? Do you mean-" 

"Katsuki, who else would I mean? He's come here a few times these past few weeks to check on, and he's brought flowers for me too. He's so sweet." Inko said happily. 

'I didn't know Kacchan's been visiting mom, but at least he's doing it on his own behalf.' Izumi thought. 

"We'll have to make sure to have dinner with his family once all my treatments are done." Inko said. 

"Mn. That and... we can visit dad." Inko looked up at her daughter. 

"Oh Izuku, you still haven't seen your dad since his passing, have you?" 

"No... I've been so busy that I lost track of time, but I'll make sure to visit him once everything's been settled!" Izumi said.

"Settled? What do you mean, Izuku?"
