First Sight

48: Bad Love

( Flashback )

Izuku had noticed how she and Katsuki had been spending a lot of time together even when they weren't at the high school. She noticed how she wasn't getting bullied anymore especially in their third year, not that she was complaining. 

That is until there was one specific day that caused Izuku to realize she was in trouble.

"Sorry Kacchan, I think I left something in the classroom, I'll be right back!" 

"Fine, but hurry up." 

The greenette ran back inside and through the halls and getting back to her classroom. 

When she did get to the classroom, she was trying to search through her desk and locker, but couldn't find what she was looking for. 

"Where is it, I could've sworn I left it here." she told herself. 

"Looking for this?" 

Izuku turned around and froze when she saw it was her notebook, but it was held by the same girls who made the bet with her from their first year in high school.

Izuku sighed. 

"Can I please get my notebook back, I need it to study." Izuku said, walking up to them. 

"Oh dear, you've changed from our first year, Midoriya. Could it be that Bakugo has given you some kind of boost so you can talk back to us?" 

"No, I'm just short on time at the moment, so will you please-" 

"How's your side of the bet going, by the way, Midoriya?" Izuku froze. 

"We noticed you and Bakugo have been really close, especially this year, any reason why?" Izuku was surprised, but remembering that Katsuki was still waiting outside for her changed her mind. 

"We are just close friends-" 

"Nothing more, right?" She looked up at them.

"The bet was for you to be just friends with him, but nothing more than that, so... you can't date him even if you want to." Izuku froze. 

'What, this wasn't part of the bet at all, not from what I remember.' she thought. 

"Don't tell me you actually have feelings for him?!?!" they teased. 

"I-I-" 

'If they find out, then what will happen to me?' 

"Did you actually forget what our bet was about? If you aren't able to stay as just Bakugo's friend all through high school, then we'd make your future a living hell. It wasn't just your stupid book that we were going to ruin, we were gonna ruin you." they said.

"This- This wasn't part of the bet at all!" 

"Yes it is, it is now." Izuku froze. 

"T-This isn't fair! You're changing the entire bet without my consent!" she yelled. 

"Who says we need your consent? Do you want your book and normal life back after this?" 

Izuku felt like she was being cheated, just when she thought she was so close to getting this bet over and done, she was thrown an unknown punch that could knock her out if she wasn't careful. 

"So, Midoriya, if you can just finish this year as just Bakugo's friend, nothing more, then we'll leave you alone once we graduate. But if you can't, well, you know what'll happen." one of them said, close to the greenette's face, shoved the notebook to her chest and then they left the classroom.
