( Back to Present )

"Katsuki?"

He looked up and blinked his eyes a few times, as the greenette stood just a few feet away and placing books up on the shelves. He stood there in awe, just looking at the greenette with her hair in a high messy bun and her large specs covering her eyes.

She seemed to be in the middle of placing books back on the shelf, but for some reason, this caused the blond to blush.

Izumi realized right away that she addressed him by his first name and not his last name.

'Oh crap! I was so used to calling him by his name in the past that I forgot he doesn't recognize me!' Izumi thought. She quickly cleared her throat and said;

"Katsuki Bakugo?"

That snapped Katsuki back to reality and he looked around to realize he was actually in the public library that his Secretary had just walked out of.

'Wait- when did I even get out of the car and come inside? Did I go on fucking auto-pilot?!?!' he thought.

"Any reason why you're bothering me while I'm working?" Izumi said, continuing to stack books again.

"Ah- right. Seems we didn't come to an agreement last time, so I came here since I was told this is where you work." Katsuki said, adjusting his tie.

"We didn't come to an agreement last time because I didn't agree to anything. You clearly just want to buy my house and the property rights for your business, my answer is still no." Izumi said, not even looking at him.

"Tch- if you let me finish, I'll get to where the agreement will be involved." he said, gritting his teeth and trying to stay calm.

"I'll buy your house at least triple the price it would be worth now."

Izumi didn't say anything.

"Not only that, but I could offer you a better place to live that won't have any issues with property rights or any business-"

"My answer's still no."

"You- You didn't let me finish. I can also sell this place too."

That's what made her stop moving, she looked at the corner of her eye at him.

"What?" she hissed.

"This place is a little shabby and doesn't fit everything in this city. I think if we sold it, not only would you be making a profit, but you wouldn't have to work here." Katsuki said with a smirk.

'Shabby?'

And that ticked Izumi off right away, she was not going to stand here and listen to her old high school friend talk crap about her home and now her workspace.

So while the blond went into a bit of a monologue about why she should not only sell her house but her workplace as well, Izumi undid the clip holding onto her messy bun and let her hair flow over her shoulder.

"You've got some nerve." she muttered, as she walked towards him.

He finally looked down at her and froze, as she slammed her right arm against the shelf that was right behind him. He noticed her hair flowing over her shoulder, it reminded him of a certain someone who used to do the same thing.

She lifted her left hand and pulled her specs off her face and gave him an intense glare, and that only caused the blond to blush, hard.

"You've got some nerve to think that selling both my house and my workplace would work for both you and me. That's where you're mistaken, because I need you to think and picture this, Katsuki Bakugo. What if you were in my shoes and were forced to sell your house and quit your job, then what would you have left, hm? That house was my father's, and this library is my mother's, so there's no reason I should give up everything just for you to be happy. I don't have any relatives that live in Japan, so where would I go? You need to think these deals of yours through before you assume that I would give in to your little bribes. And don't even think that I would let it slide that you're calling this library shabby!" Izumi yelled, just centimeters away from his face.
