( I walked into the room and I then I saw your face - you looked me in the eye and I wanted to erase myself )
Keep it together Biana. Compose yourself. Don't, no matter what, give yourself away. Your name can only survive so much. Looking Sophie in the eyes, Biana could tell. She already knew.
Oh, but her eyes! They held so many depths, amber and deep shades of brown laced with gold. The rest of the room fell away for a simple moment, the world paused just for them. Sophie was sizing her up, calculating the odds.
If she came out right now, in a house full of people meant to kill her- well, lets just say her odds of survival were slim to none. If Sophie revealed her knowledge later, when she had people to take her side, she was almost sure to live.
The Council already approved Sophie's enrollment in Foxfire- it would be all too easy to blame her disappearance on a light leaping accident, or an encounter with an animal yet to be rehabilitated.
"What are you doing," Biana inquired delicately, clearing her throat.
"Nothing," Fitz grumbled dragging Sophie along with him.
"Where were you? I asked Dad, but he . . . refrained from sharing the information."
"That's because it's none of your business," Fitz said.
"Do tell me later?"
"Drop it, ok? I'm a little busy right now."
Biana glanced at her brothers hand, clasping Sophie's.
"I can see that."
Sophie jerked her hand away, meeting Biana's eyes with a blush.
