Biana smiled down at Sophie, brushing a lock of blonde hair behind the Telepath's ear. Sophie was asleep, curled up in Biana's lap. Her chest rose and fell softly, completely at peace.

It was moments like these Biana cherished.

Spaces the Neverseen couldn't touch.

Sophie had been overworking herself. She trained with her friends and bodyguards in the morning, went to Foxfire, finishing all her homework during lunch, and drafting up Team Valiant reports, meeting with them in the afternoon.

Convincing Sophie to let Biana take care of her, the Vacker rubbed out the knots in Sophie's shoulders. She hadn't eaten either, having skipped breakfast and lunch.

It was no way to live.

So Biana had made food with the Ruewens, roasting Brattails with Grady, and making a thick Tangourd sauce with Edaline, bringing up a plate of sliced Dawnlings and a bag of Ripplenuts. They were Sophie's favorite things to snack on.

Dawnlings never failed to calm the blonde down- probably because Calla had invented them.

Sophie had thrown her arms around Biana and cried, so, so thankful someone was there for her. It hit Biana pretty hard. She had often been in that dark place, and it hurt to see Sophie stuck in it.

So she swore she would always be there, a silent vow to herself as she gazed at the sleeping Sophie.

Biana pressed a kiss to Sophie's forehead, and rested her cheek on the pillow, eyes fluttering closed.
