He takes her hand. Fingers twined together. Curling over one another. Warm palm against palm. His thumb rubs circles on her skin. She leans on him, he is used to carrying her weight. She tousles his messy blond hair, a sweet smile on her face. She hasn't been sleeping. She can't sleep without him.

They just walk through Atlantis. Barely registering what's around them. Children-not their's- ran around them, weaving in between the crowds. When they stop, it's to stare up at a statue, of them and one other. They sit down on the bench dedicated to her.

The girl stares up at the boy, her brown eyes shining. He tucks her head into his chest, the saftey of his embrace calming her nerves. Her voice shook.

"No."

He had lost his mother. A lying, manipulative, conniving woman who pretended not to care about him. He still missed her. He had been the one to kill her. He had killed his mother to save the girl beside him.

"Do you regret it?" Choosing the love of his life over his evil mother?

"Never."

She closes her eyes, at peace. He is still troubled. He strokes her hair, tracing the scar on her neck. He still felt ghost pain from the two across his chest. He remembers the special wanderling patch dedicated to those who died for the cause.

"I love you." Those words soothe his heart, melting him.

"I love you too." She falls asleep on his lap.
