Chapter 3:
Lunch came to an awkward end, I didn't understand what the hell that guy's problem was? I hadn't even spoken a word to him and he somehow managed to adopt some deep-rooted hatred toward me... I guessed the best thing to do was try and stay clear of him.
Finally, Physical Training!
Aizawa told us we were to draw lots and see who we were paired up with, this would be a one on one training exercise. I was eager to see who I'd be fighting against, although worried at the same time. Mina asked what quirk I had, I winked at her and told her it's a secret. The element of surprise could possibly give me an advantage.
I glanced around, taking in the sight of everyone in their hero suits. It was truly impressive; the entire class looked incredibly cool! I couldn't help but feel delighted with my own hero outfit. The colours were stunning, rich, and they complimented my physique far better than I could have ever imagined.
(Imagine your hero suit however you would like! You'll see what her quirk is shortly, I personally think a bright white looking body suit, figure hugging and kind of spacey/futuristic looking (think zero two's suit but white) However, it's completely up to you!)
My gaze fell upon the ash-blonde standing in the corner as I scanned the room, he completely stood out amongst everyone else around him. As I now bore witness to him adorned in his hero attire for the very first time, an undeniable sense of awe washed over me. Bakugou exuded an indisputable coolness, his hero costume emphasised his powerful presence. Wielding impressively bulky gauntlets, I noticed how a part of his costume exposed a pair of perfectly sculpted arms. A fiery determination seemed to radiate from him, leaving me thoroughly impressed and captivated by his aura. But I quickly pulled my gaze away, not wanting him to notice.
I looked down at the piece of paper and recognised that I'd been paired up with Todoroki, the mismatched hair boy with pastel eyes. A part of me felt a little disappointed, he'd shown me such kindness this morning, even helped me find my class.. It somehow felt wrong going up against him, but I wouldn't let that stop me from giving my best.
"What's his quirk?" I wondered out-loud
"Oh he's-" I cut Mina off before she replied.
"Oh wait- no, don't tell me! That wouldn't be fair as he doesn't know mine." I was genuinely curious about what his quirk could be, as I knew that he too had earned his place here through recommendations.
We made our way over to each other, he appeared quite composed. Clearly he didn't lack confidence in his abilities. Yeah, I could tell from a single glance, this boy was incredibly strong.
"I'm looking forward to training with you Todoroki." I said with a smile. "Please don't feel the need to hold back." I added.
He gave me a stern but calm look and nodded in response.
"Your first training lesson... And you're against Todoroki. Please be careful Y/N. He's crazy strong." Mina warned me.
"I'll be just fine." I said confidently with a smile.
Mina's eyes widened in surprise. I winked at her. Despite my shyness, when it came to my training, I gave it my all. I could feel people staring, out of the corner of my eye, I caught Bakugou's scowling gaze but did my best to ignore it.
We made our way down to the training arena, each of us standing at a considerable distance from one another. As we settled into our stances and readied ourselves for the fight, Present Mic started the countdown;
"1, 2, 3 AND GOOOOO!!!"
Straight away Todoroki propelled himself towards me. Something white sparkled ahead as he thrusted forwards. I couldn't help but think he was so beautiful. There was an angelic aura about him, his movements were so fluid and precise.
