Chapter 50:

The morning light from the sun seeped through the slats of my blinds casting a bright glow across the room, I woke up abruptly to the sound of my alarm.

So bright.

When memories from last night began to resurface, the way Bakugou playfully picked me up as though I weighed nothing, tossing me onto the bed to pin me down, proving he was stronger and the way his crimson stare lingered onto my lips only for a brief moment. I couldn't stop thinking about it.

But then....

The way he pulled away all of a sudden and the atmosphere became awkward, what was he thinking? Would it be awkward today? I loved hanging out with Katsuki but sometimes it felt as though he wanted to be close, to let people in, but the second it almost happened, he pulled away, as though it was too much for him. But I could be patient. He was one of my closest friends, I just hoped it wouldn't be awkward today. I really wanted to know what he was thinking. What thoughts went on inside this boys head? But often Katsuki was known to be a closed book.

However, what I did know was what went on inside my own head... And I-

If I'm honest, I liked it. I liked the way he lifted me up to toss me on to the bed, I liked the way he pinned me down just to tease me. I liked the way he smirked, his confident demeanour and most of all... I enjoyed staring into his eyes. When I noticed him glance down at my lips, my heart began to race. What the hell was wrong with me? Was it weird to like those things? To have these kinds of feelings? I felt disappointed once I saw his confidence fade and he pulled away. I couldn't help but be plagued by thoughts wondering what it was that I did wrong. I desperately wanted answers but there was no way I would ever dare to ask my questions.

I tried to push those thoughts aside. After all, there were far more important things to think about. Today was Operation Shipment. I flung myself out of bed and prepared myself for the day, quickly putting on my hero attire and joining my classmates downstairs for breakfast, when I received an email from Interstellar's agency:

Good Morning Y/N,

I hope you're doing well. I understand this is incredibly short notice however, today's Mission-Brief Meeting has been relocated to Endeavour's agency. Please make sure to arrive there promptly for 9:30am with your classmates.

"Oh we're having the brief at your fathers agency?" I asked Todoroki-kun.

Many of the class knew we shared an agency partnership. However, the details of our missions and said partnership was not to be discussed with our other classmates.

"Oh yeah. He did text me something to do with that last night."

I glanced to Todoroki's phone witnessing a long chain of messages from his father that he'd clearly been ignoring. I couldn't help but smirk. I guess it made sense, Endeavour might be getting back to us with his own updates on the mission. Sadly, I'd never been to Endeavour's agency, so it looked like we would be walking there.

"Where's Tokoyami?"

"Haven't seen him."

"Oh. I was gonna ask if he wanted to walk with us... Bakugou you're coming right?"

Katsuki was sat across from us next to Kirishima. I noticed them share a weird look with one another, one that was hard to read.

"Sure. Whatever."
