((Hey guys I haven't proof read this yet ahhh. But think it should be fine! Enjoy heheh)
The ballroom lights shimmered like stars overhead, blending together in a golden haze as I stumbled through the crowd, my arms flailing in dramatic exaggeration. I couldn't stop laughing—every little thing seemed hilarious. Mina had just tripped over her own feet for the third time, and Jirou's helpless laughter only fueled my own. My face was flushed, and my head buzzed pleasantly, each step a little less steady than the last.
"Y/N, you look like a toddler learning to walk!" Mina giggled, clutching her stomach as tears streamed down her face.
"Oh yeah?" I spun in a clumsy circle, throwing my arms out. "At least I'm not doing... this!" I tried to imitate Mina's earlier stumble, but my coordination failed me, and I almost toppled over.
Jirou caught me just in time, her own laughter ringing out. "Okay, okay, I think you've had enough,"
Jirou teased, barely holding me upright.
But before I could argue, a familiar and unmistakable presence loomed nearby. The room seemed to grow quieter—or maybe it was just me noticing as Katsuki Bakugou stepped into view, his sharp crimson eyes scanning the scene before landing on me. His brows furrowed deeply, an expression that was part concern, part irritation."Oh hey, Blasty!" Mina slurred, waving at him with an exaggerated grin. "Y/N's drunnnkkk," she sang, dragging out the word like it was her favorite joke of the night. She wobbled forward, nearly stumbling into him. "Whoa! Maybe I'm a bit drunk too," she giggled uncontrollably, causing me to burst into another fit of laughter.
Bakugou's jaw tightened, his eyes flicking between me and Mina. "You're... drunk?" he asked, his voice laced with disbelief and irritation. His gaze settled on me, narrowing.
"And what?" I slurred, crossing my arms (or at least attempting to—my coordination was far from perfect). "You gonna tell me off? Pfft.""Y/N..." His voice softened, the anger giving way to something gentler. "I don't think drinking is a good idea for you right now."
I rolled my eyes dramatically, waving him off. "Tch. Whatever. You're not my dad."
But just as the words left my mouth, I stumbled forward, my knees giving way beneath me."Yeah you're not her dad!!" Mina joined in to my defence, crossing her arms drunkenly.
Before I could hit the ground, Katsuki was there, his strong hands catching me effortlessly. He steadied me against him, his grip firm but careful.
"Tch. Idiot," he muttered, his voice low and rough with frustration. "You can't even walk straight."
I blinked up at him, trying to focus on his face, but he looked a little blurry around the edges. "You're always so grumpy," I mumbled, leaning into his chest. "You should smile more. It'd be cute."
He stiffened slightly at my words, a faint flush creeping up his neck, but his expression quickly shifted back to a scowl. "Seriously, whose bright idea was it to get Y/N fucking drunk?" he snapped, his fiery gaze turning toward the rest of the group.
Mina raised her hand sheepishly, her grin still wide. "Um, that'd be Kaminari," she said, pointing toward the yellow-haired boy who was conveniently nowhere to be seen. "But, like, it's not a big deal, right? She's just having fun!"
"Fun?" Katsuki's voice rose, his irritation spilling over. "She can't even stand up without falling on her ass! What if she does something stupid? Or gets hurt?"
"Relax, Blasty," Jirou cut in, crossing her arms. "We're all keeping an eye on her. She's fiiiinnnneeee."
"She doesn't look fine to me," he growled, his hands tightening slightly on my shoulders as he steadied me again. His crimson eyes darted back to me, filled with a mix of frustration and something I couldn't quite place. Concern, maybe?
