Chapter 100:

??????? POV

From the very first moment I met Todoroki Shoto, my heart knew it had found its anchor. He was a quiet soul, a boy of few words, yet he carried a depth within him that seemed to pull me closer, like the undertow of the sea. There was something almost magnetic about the way he moved, something gentle and solemn that spoke to parts of me I didn't yet understand.

I remember seeing him at the U.A. Sports Festival, that grand spectacle where every hero in training showcased their powers, but none captivated me quite like him. Shoto's mastery of his quirk was unlike anything I'd ever seen—each movement was poetry, an artful blend of strength and restraint, like watching ice melt into fire, beauty colliding with power. He wielded his abilities with a grace that was somehow both fierce and fragile, leaving me utterly breathless, even through the screen.

I was stationed in Recovery Girl's office that day, busy with training, unable to witness it all in person. When the event finally concluded, they brought him to us. Shoto lay unconscious on the bed, his face softened in sleep, yet he still seemed so strong, so breathtakingly serene. He looked almost otherworldly, like an ethereal prince from an old legend, and for a moment, I couldn't breathe.

I tended to him, gently tracing over his injuries with the care I'd practiced but had never felt so deeply before. Every bruise, every scrape seemed like something precious—a story written across his skin. As I worked, I felt the hum of anticipation within me, a quiet, fluttering hope that maybe, once he woke up, he might see me too. And when he finally did, his eyes, like fire and ice, met mine, and I was certain I'd never be the same.

"Hm? Where am I?" he murmured softly, his voice low and slightly rough, like he was still waking from a long, heavy sleep. His mismatched eyes scanned the room with a gentle confusion, drifting over the walls before landing on me.

"You're in Recovery Girl's office," I replied quietly, feeling the tremor in my own voice. It was the first time I'd heard him speak, and somehow, just his voice alone sent a thrill through me. He had an aura of mystery, even in his half-awake state.

He looked at me, tilting his head with that same curious expression. "You're... not Recovery Girl," he said, his brow knitting in slight confusion. His multicolored hair, an arresting mix of red and white, fell to the side as he tilted his head, each strand catching the light. I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, feeling an unexpected warmth spreading through me.

"No, I'm not," I replied with a smile. "I'm just training here. Learning from her."

"Oh," he said simply, processing this with a calm acceptance. "I see." His gaze softened slightly, though his expression remained guarded, as if he'd long since learned not to let his emotions show too easily.

I hesitated, feeling my heart race as a thought broke through my usual composure. "Your quirk... it's incredible," I blurted out, unable to hold it back. I had seen him in action, and his power had been so stunning, like a work of art. Just being in his presence was enough to make me feel awestruck all over again.

"Oh... thanks," he replied, a flicker of discomfort crossing his face as he looked away, his gaze going distant and cold. His expression was unreadable, stoic. But somehow, the distance in his eyes only made him seem even more intriguing, like he held entire worlds of untold stories.
