"My own personal hero, huh?" I mused, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Something like that," he replied with a smirk, his eyes twinkling with mischief. Without warning, he grabbed my wrist, pulling me along. "Come on, loser, let's get you home."

As we walked back to campus, the night air grew increasingly cold, prompting me to zip up the oversized jacket he'd lent me. The warmth was a comfort, but I couldn't shake the guilt that gnawed at me.

"I'm sorry," I murmured, glancing at him in his t-shirt with a hint of concern. "You must be freezing."

He shook his head, a lazy smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Nah, don't worry about it. My quirk makes me naturally warm, so I generate more body heat than most."

"Really?" I asked, tilting my head in curiously. "I guess that makes sense."

I thought about the past two nights we'd spent together. Lying in bed in each others arms, he felt pretty warm then too...

We continued our walk, falling into easy, lighthearted conversation. The campus soon loomed before us, and before long, we found ourselves back at the dorms. As we entered the cozy common area, the familiar sight of Mina lounging on the couch, laughing at something on her phone caught my eye.

She looked up as we approached, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "How was the cinema?" she asked, her voice teasing as she shot me a knowing glance.

I couldn't help but smile, realizing that Mina and Kiri must have made it back before us.

"It was fun, we went to see A Silent Voice," I said, a soft smile playing on my lips as I recalled the memory.

"Oh, really? I didn't know that was playing! I absolutely love that movie!" Mina exclaimed, her eyes lighting up with excitement.

"Yeah, me too..." I replied, trailing off as I glanced around. "Where's, um, Kirishima?"

Before Mina could respond, Kirishima himself appeared, his head popping out from the kitchen at the sound of our voices. "Bakugou, how was the cinema, man?" he called out, his signature grin wide and welcoming.

Bakugou didn't miss a beat. "We're having words," he declared, his tone leaving no room for argument. Without another word, he strode over to Kirishima, pushing the redhead further into the kitchen and closing the door behind them with a decisive click.

Mina raised an eyebrow, her curiosity clearly piqued. "I wonder what that's about?"

"Hmm, secret man talk?" I giggled, trying to lighten the mood. "So, um... how was your evening? Did you get up to anything interesting?" I asked, hoping she might open up.

Mina hesitated, her earlier excitement fading as she shifted her gaze away. "Just spent the night studying..." she said quietly, her voice almost too soft to hear.

Something in her tone didn't sit right with me. Why was she lying? I couldn't help but continue to wonder why was hiding the fact she was out with Kirishima.

"Is that all you got up to?" I pressed gently, searching her face for any sign of the truth.

"Yeah," she responded quickly, avoiding eye contact. The unease in her voice was obvious. A part of me wanted to confront her, to mention what I'd seen at the restaurant earlier, but another part of me knew it wasn't my place. If she didn't want to tell me, I had to respect her privacy.

For now, I decided to let it go, but the nagging feeling in my chest refused to disappear. She was my best friend after all, someone who I considered to share my secrets with yet I realised, I'd never really told her any of my own.
