The morning light filtered through the sheer curtains, casting soft, golden hues across the plush carpet of the hotel room. I stirred, the unfamiliar crispness of the hotel sheets wrapping around me like a cocoon. I blinked, feeling momentarily disoriented. My body ached with the pleasant fatigue of deep sleep, but something was off. The room was too quiet, too sterile. My eyes slowly adjusted to the room's soft decor, and I realized with a jolt—I wasn't in Bakugou's hotel room, he wasn't here.

The memories from last night rushed back. I remembered drifting off in the familiar warmth of Katsuki's arms, lulled by the rhythmic sound of his breathing and the comforting presence of his chaotic energy nearby. But now, I was alone, back in my hotel room. I sat up, rubbing my eyes, wondering whether last night had been some vivid dream, or if he'd somehow brought me back here while I was asleep.

Had Bakugou carried me here in the middle of the night? The thought was both confusing and strangely sweet, but it left me with more questions than answers. I couldn't recall any of it—no sound of a door closing, no whispered words as he left. Just silence. My heart raced slightly at the uncertainty of it all, but I quickly shook my head, deciding not to dwell on it too long. After all, today was an important day.

I stretched and stood up, the coolness of the floor beneath my feet grounding me. Crossing the room, I made my way over to the curtains, curiosity tugging at me. With a swift motion, I pulled them open, letting the sunlight flood the room in full. The brightness washed over me, and for a moment, I had to squint against its intensity.

Outside, the day was pristine—bright blue skies stretching endlessly overhead, with the sun casting a golden glow over the meticulously kept grounds of the fancy hotel. From my vantage point, the view was breathtaking. The courtyard sprawled out below, a patchwork of vibrant greens, marble walkways, and elegant gardens. People milled about, their colourful clothing creating a vibrant contrast against the backdrop of nature. It was peaceful in a way that made me momentarily forget the strange circumstances of my morning. I noticed a couple of workers meticulously trimming the hedges and carefully setting up lanterns and festive decorations, preparing the space for an upcoming event.

As I stood there, lost in the mesmerizing beauty of the courtyard, it hit me—tonight was the U.A. Ball.

Excitement fluttered in my chest as the reality of the day sunk in. The Ball was something everyone had been talking about for weeks. It wasn't just a celebration, it was a statement of everything we'd worked for. A chance to relax, to dress up, and to spend time with friends after the whirlwind that had been our training.

I took a deep breath, letting the cool air of the room fill my lungs. There was a lot to do before tonight. First, breakfast with the class. Everyone would be gathering downstairs soon, all the other classes would be there, and I could already imagine the chatter and anticipation that would fill the dining hall. After that, there was the meeting with the Hero Association—a formality, really, but still important. We needed to go over the rules and regulations for the evening, make sure everyone was on the same page, and ensure that the event would go off without a hitch.

But before any of that, I needed to get ready for the day. My mind wandered briefly back to Bakugou—whether he would say anything about last night, or if I should bring it up. His unpredictable nature made it hard to know for sure. Still, the thought of seeing him today, dressed up for the Ball later, sent a strange mix of feelings through me.

I stepped away from the window, casting one last glance at the sunny courtyard below. Today was going to be a day to remember.

The air in the hotel room felt cooler now that I was fully awake, and my mind buzzed with the energy of the upcoming events. After a quick shower, I rummaged through my bag, pulling out a simple outfit for breakfast. There would be plenty of time later to worry about getting dressed for the Ball, and I wasn't in any rush yet.
