My outfit for tonight was neatly packed in a garment bag, which I hung up in the closet with care. The nerves were still there, bubbling beneath the surface, but unpacking gave me something to focus on.

As I stood there, smoothing out my dress for the ball, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. Tonight was going to be something special, I thought. I just had to get through the nerves first.

The sound of my phone buzzing snapped me out of my thoughts. It was a text from Mina, reminding me to meet up in her room with Jirou in an hour to get ready together. I smiled, feeling the butterflies again, but this time, there was a spark of excitement mixed in.

I took one last glance around the room, the comfort of the space starting to sink in. This was it—the start of a night that we'd all been looking forward to. The anticipation was still there, but now, standing in this gorgeous hotel room with my outfit beside me and the greenery of the courtyard below glowing with nature's beauty. I could feel it: tonight was going to be unforgettable.

Steam still clings to my skin as I slip into my pyjamas, the cool fabric a welcome contrast to the warmth lingering from the shower. I pulled on my slippers, their softness comforting as I padded across the room. My heart fluttered with anticipation, but the soapy scent in the air helped to steady me—at least for now.

My dress hung over my arm, its fabric shimmering faintly with promise. In my other hand, I clutched my makeup bag, the familiar weight of it grounding me just a little as I headed for the door. The excitement was real now, but so was the nervousness. I could feel it bubbling up, twisting in my stomach, and I took a breath, trying to calm the whirlwind in my chest.

The hallway was quiet, the kind of hotel silence where even your own footsteps seemed too loud. I couldn't help but smile to myself, though, because tonight was going to be something special. It had to be. The U.A. Ball... It's what we had all been talking about, what we'd been waiting for. And now, it was happening.

As I approached Mina's door, the nerves kicked up a notch. I stopped for a moment, holding my breath, feeling the excitement buzz just beneath the surface. My fingers curled around the handle of my makeup bag, and I knocked, the sound soft but definitive.

For a split second, nothing. The nerves sparked again, but then I heard the soft shuffle of footsteps, the door swinging open to reveal Mina's bright, familiar grin. Her energy was infectious, and I couldn't help but smile back. "Finally!" she said, pulling me inside without hesitation. "We have so much to do, and you're going to look amazing tonight!"

Jirou was already there, perched on the edge of the bed, focused on adjusting the playlist on her phone. She looked up, giving me one of her small, reassuring smiles. "You'll be fine," she said, casual but comforting. "We've got this."

I set my dress down carefully, the excitement rising once again, this time with less nervousness and more joy. Mina's infectious energy filled the room as she started laying out her makeup, and Jirou hummed along to the music in the background. I felt the tension ease, replaced by a thrill I can't quite put into words. This was it.

Tonight, we were going to shine.

BAKUGOU POV

Bakugou and his friends—Kirishima, Sero, and Kaminari—had spent what felt like hours preparing for the event. The room had been a flurry of movement, as they adjusted waistcoats, fumbled with cufflinks, and lent each other a hand with stubborn bow ties. Kirishima's tie was crooked until Bakugou gave it a sharp tug, straightening it with an impatient huff. Sero smirked as Kaminari struggled with his own, hands shaking slightly from the nerves, until Sero took over, quickly finishing the knot with a smooth twist of his wrist.
