Narrator pov. In the bus~

The detective boys and Agasa were going on a skiing trip, Irene was sitting in the back seat behind Edogawa and Haibara by the window as the mentioned inventor sneezed.

When the bus stopped at a stop, Edogawa asked Agasa if he really was going to be alright skiing with his cold and Haibara just said that she warned him that this would happen so that was what he got for not listening.

Agasa replied, "It can't be helped. Since I'm the adult chaperone, I should be able to ski well." Irene decided to speak up, "Not really. If we want some lessons, there's some monitors at the ski lodge who would teach us. And the most important thing the adult in the group has to do is keep the kids safe and healthy. But look who's the one who got sick."

Agasa went to retort before Ayumi added, "Now when we get there, you should rest at the lodge." Mitsuhiko and Genta turned in their seats in front of Agasa to add their own inputs and now the inventor was silent.

Irene sat back in her seat and decided to try and get some sleep, as her insomnia had stopped her from getting a good night's sleep, as usual, and she ignored the conversations going on around her.

Her sleep was interrupted pretty quickly as people sat beside her in the seat and she woke up when she heard the sound of fabric really close and looked over to see an old man sitting on the back seat too, she sat up straight to make more space for the last person coming to sit here.

When she heard Araide's name, she peeked over to see 'Araide' and Jodie behind 'him', the latter having happily greeted everyone despite Genta's teasing question about the two being a couple, Irene looked down as she noticed that Edogawa and Haibara had already switched seats.

She then saw a certain man in a cold mask walk over and sit beside her in the back seat so she peeked back ahead to see Jodie, now sitting with 'Araide' only two seats ahead.

She was going to stop looking to check on Haibara but she paused, freezing.

 There it was again.

The same face she saw at the Haido City Hotel.

The same face that she had started to forget about after everything that happened.

She saw it, the owner sitting a few seats ahead by the right window, their head had already turned to face forward.

Now getting a bit more of a glimpse at the owner's back, the hair was longer, but...

It still looked exactly the same...

Irene unconsciously tightened her grip on the headrest she was holding onto to see ahead while still staring at the back of the person, which didn't go unnoticed by Edogawa who looked up.

Before he could say anything though, Genta's cry of, "Oi, look!" snapped Irene out of it as she saw the bus hijackers Genta was pointing at.

Recalling what was to happen, Irene took a deep breath and loosened her grip as she relaxed and focused on the hijackers, deciding to not give that person any more thought.

After all, it wasn't the time to worry about that.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Well, Irene tried to sleep but ended up interrupted.

And it looks like everything that happened before made her forget about "the face" only for her to be reminded of it by seeing them again at the worst possible time...

Well, she'll have to just ignore it, the hijackers are here.

So what did you guys think? Did you like it? Which part was your favorite? Hope to see your feedback soon!

That's all. See you next chapter!

Stay sweet my fellow anime lovers!~
