AN: Yep. It's the birthday chapter! That's her outfit, she doesn't have a Minnie plushie and you know what her hairstyle is now. Hope you enjoy it!

Narrator pov. At the Kuroba residence~

Irene saw the calendar earlier so she knew today's date.

July 8th, her birthday.

She stopped celebrating it ever since she lost her colors, but the moment she got to wake up Kuroba because today was a holiday...

"Ohayo Birthday girl!" was what he greeted her with after he rubbed the sleepiness from his eyes, a grin on his face that looked more like Kid's.

Irene just nodded, "Ohayo."

She wasn't surprised he remembered.

She just wondered how big of a deal he would make about it.

When they were called for breakfast, she found out that he wasn't the only one.

Nakamori greeted her with, "Ohayo, Irene-chan. And happy birthday!" while smiling.

Ginzo himself also said something similar with his own smile.

Irene just thanked them emotionlessly.

And then it turned out that Nakamori added a dessert to today's breakfast, cupcakes.

"I didn't know what Irene's favorite sweet was but nobody doesn't like cupcakes!" Nakamori said, "So here!" she smiled as she placed the plate of cupcakes on the table after everyone finished breakfast.

There were 7 cupcakes, and each of them had a candle on.

7 cupcakes because Irene was turning 7.

Smart.

Everyone at the table looked at Irene with patient smiles, waiting for her to blow out the candles.

Irene blinked before she blew out each one of them and everyone else clapped before they said, "Tanjobi Omedetto!" 

(If it wasn't obvious, "Tanjobi Omedetto" means Happy Birthday :3)

Irene just nodded at them and replied, "Arigato." before they started to eat the cupcakes.

Since they were chocolate-flavored, it was obvious that Kuroba would eat the most ones.

And then Ginzo handed her a gift with a smile, "There you go, Irene-kun. I hope you like it." 

From the shape, it seemed to be a book of some sort.

Irene unwrapped it to reveal an origami book filled with origami papers.
