Narrator pov. Continuing~

Irene placed the photo in her bag as Edogawa seemed to calm down before Chinami ended the call she was on and asked everyone to follow her to the elevator.

They rode the elevator up to the 75th floor and got out before Mio noticed Kogoro and walked over to them.

After she and Kogoro shook hands, Mouri started introducing everyone else, Irene just nodded when she was introduced, and then Mio introduced her group as well.

After a bit of conversation, the real kids went to the window and looked out at the view which made the others look and see that they could see Mt. Fuji.

After a bit more of a conversation where the painter, Kisaragi Hosui, started to angrily leave and refused Mio's offer of escorting him out, Hara was caught eating chocolate so he shared some with the real kids and then Mitsuhiko walked over to Mouri to ask her to meet.

Irene watched as she noticed that Ayumi didn't even look away from Hara, proving her theory about Ayumi not having feelings for Edogawa.

And then the elevator opened and two employees walked out talking about a certain Porsche parked outside.

Edogawa ran to them to make sure that it was Gin's car before he ran to the elevator and rode it down.

Irene sighed before she turned to Mouri and said, "I'll go get him." then started to go down to where he was on the first floor.

She reached the floor just as he ran out of the building after the car but it already left.

She walked over and flicked the back of his head which made him exclaim, "Itte!" and rub his head before looking behind him to see her.

She said, "Baka. What were you planning to do there?" which made him blink at her so she continued, "Kudo-kun, even if you did catch up to the car, what did you think to do? Tail them? They're killers with guns who would notice you, and Gin would be the one to end you even if you look like a kid."

"Bug them? As if they didn't get more thorough with searching for bugs after last time." he seemed to start realizing her point but she wasn't done, "Even if you had time and they didn't notice immediately, you won't have time to get rid of your teeth marks when Gin finds it and the dental records would match to you. Kudo Shinichi."

His eyes widened, "Gin might've forgotten about you but Vodka didn't, and he would help Gin realize you're alive and, just like Hakase, Miyano-san and I kept warning you, track down everyone related to you."

"And now, that includes the kids and Mouri-san since you're related to them."

That statement made him pale as he tensed.

"So, if the car didn't leave just at the right time, you would've caused everyone to die thanks to being reckless and giving into curiosity, which is the same reason you got shrunk."

She crossed her arms, "So stop being so reckless the moment you know Gin's around, especially if the kids and the others who don't know are here, unless you want to cause everyone to die, alright?"

He nodded slowly and replied, "Okay... Sorry, I wasn't thinking." She nodded, "I know. And that's the biggest disadvantage that could lead to us dying. So be more careful and try to think smarter too, not just faster." 

He sighed and rubbed the back of his head, "Right." they both then looked up at the building again before they walked back in and rode the elevator back up to the others.

Irene gave an excuse that Edogawa liked old rare cars and just got excited since he had never seen a Porsche 356-A before which Edogawa easily agreed with.

He couldn't stop glancing at Irene as the weight of all he could've caused for his stupidity actually got processed.

He knew she was right. Just following Gin and Vodka's car whenever he sees them without a plan would just lead to everyone's death.

Something that he was actively trying to avoid.

He took in a breath before he slowly let it out.

Next time, he'd have to be smarter.

Next time, he'd be more careful.

Yep, Irene gives Conan a lecture about how stupid it was that he just immediately tried to go after Gin and Vodka when he saw them without a plan.

Well, we all know he's an idiot but it's nice that someone finally made him realize how much of an idiotic move that was.
