True Happiness (rewrite version)

New look

AN: This original chapter happens in the episode with Kaito Kid's introduction. A little reminder that Irene speaks Japanese now. :3 Hope you enjoy it!

Narrator pov. At the Kuroba residence~

Kuroba just walked back in the house, "Tadaima!" and Irene greeted, "Okaeri, how was Shibuya?"

It was weird how she was the one welcoming him home for once.

And yes, Kuroba had just returned from Shibuya with Nakamori, where Mouri probably saw him and mistook him for Kudo.

Kuroba shrugged, "It was fine, I guess. Nothing special." he grinned, "Except for me getting to see fans outside of Ekoda start talking about me."

Irene just blinked at him, "Right. You already sent your notice, Kaitou Kid." he laughed.

Before she interrupted, "Well, good luck. Cause you're meeting him there." 

He stopped laughing and asked, "Wait meet who?" 

She just looked at him, "Who do you think?"

He blinked before he realized it, "The high schooler?!"

She started going up the stairs, "Yep. Anyways, Oyasumi."

Kuroba replied, "Oyasumi." as she went to her room and started to get ready for bed, even if she knew she wouldn't fall asleep immediately.

The next day, they were now having breakfast at the Nakamori's, though after finishing his food Ginzo immediately left, making Nakamori sigh.

Irene glanced at Kuroba who looked guilty before standing up and leaving, pushing him a little forward toward Nakamori as she herself went back to Kuroba's house.

He already knew about the fake pearl considering his notice, so at least before his fake heist in the next early morning, he should keep Nakamori company.

She knew he'd get her message.

So during lunch, Irene was called over, she noticed that it was later than usual, and she saw Kuroba performing a card trick for Nakamori as she sat down at the table.

The two teens spent time together until dinner since Nakamori went to sleep after that.

Irene watched Kuroba go into the lair as she repeated, "Good luck." before she went to get ready for bed.

She didn't have a reason to be involved in the fake heist, plus she knew nothing dangerous would happen to either Kuroba or Edogawa in this one so it was going to be fine.
