Narrator pov. Continuing~

Jodie finished the call a minute or so ago and it didn't take long before there was the sound of the doorbell again.

Irene looked up at it as Jodie went ahead and answered it, opening the door as a voice, that was older but still familiar to Irene, asked, "Hey Jodie-san. You said there's someone who wanted to see me?"

Jodie's response was a smile before stepping aside and gesturing down as the woman, confused, looked down before finally seeing Irene, who Jodie just noticed the eyes of, staring back at her with an equally surprised expression.

Miyuki stared before she finally said the name, "Sakura...?"

Irene started to grin as her eyes started to water a bit, she nodded before she called out, "Miyuki-chan!" and then jumped to tackle her and hug her tightly.

"You have no idea how much I missed you!" she added as Miyuki hugged back, now also tearing up.

Irene knew it then, she had all her colors back.

She was feeling many complex emotions but knew happiness was the strongest.

She was so, so happy.

The girls hugged as Irene said, "You died and left me alone years ago! I thought I'd never see you again and-" with a sob as Miyuki hugged and rubbed her head gently.

"Shh, it's okay Sakura-chan." she said softly, "You can tell me what I missed and how long I've been dead later, for now, let's just enjoy each other's company after so long."

Irene smiled and nodded as she replied, "I... I'd love that."

After a few more moments, they both calmed down and wiped the tears off of their eyes, smiling at each other.

"So... Am I right to assume I know why you're back to how you were in first grade or?" Miyuki asked as Irene nodded with a sigh.

"Yeah, you're right. Though it happened a month before the main story started." she said back which made Miyuki gape at her.

"Seriously?! Who were you staying with then?" Miyuki asked bewildered.

Irene smirked, "Oh, the same people I'm staying with now. You'll see." she then asked, "By the way, did you grow your hair? I'm pretty sure it wasn't that long. Love the outfit by the way."

Miyuki smiled, "Yeah I did. And Arigato. I see you changed your hairstyle, looks good on you."

Irene giggled, for the first time since she became colorless, and replied, "Yeah I did. Is that why you didn't recognize me earlier?"

Miyuki blushed and rubbed the back of her head, "Honestly, yeah... Plus, I didn't expect you to get here since the way I got here was-" she paused in realization as she looked down at Irene, her look suddenly serious.

Irene blinked, "What?"

Miyuki narrowed her eyes, "Did you get here in the same situation I did or were you alive?"

Irene flinched, looked away, and mumbled, "Same way..."

Miyuki's tone turned sharp, "How?"

Irene looked down and answered, "Jake and the others... uh, pushed me into the Nightly Dead River late at night. They didn't mean to kill me though."

Miyuki clicked her tongue, "Those jerks."

Irene sighed, "Miyu-chan, it's fine. Besides, it wasn't completely their fault I died there..."

Miyuki sighed, "Fine." she then smiled, "So, care to tell me exactly what I missed? And since when did you get fluent at Japanese?"

Irene smiled back, "In just a minute. I need to make a call first." she looked up at Jodie, "Do you mind me borrowing your phone?"

Jodie allowed it and so Irene went to another room with the phone to call Kuroba and asked him to tell Nakamori to add one more person to dinner, saying that she was bringing a guest over.

Kuroba did point out how she actually sounded happy and she just said, "Because I finally confirmed that the person who I saw was there, and the person is someone I missed a lot. You'll see when I bring them over."

After Kuroba agreed, she ended the call and went back to Miyuki and Jodie as she said, "Okay, let's go. I thought it'd be better if we talk over dinner, you also can meet who I'm staying with that way."

She looked at the clock on the wall, "It is getting late anyway."

Miyuki nodded with a smile, "Sure, let's go!" they both then said bye to Jodie and left the apartment building.

Irene started, "So, about me learning Japanese..." as she decided to talk about that first and told Miyuki how it was Edogawa who taught her as they walked to the station and then to Ekoda.

And this was the moment the angel's colors were restored.

AN: Done! I hope you guys liked it!

Aww, well that was a sweet reunion!

Miyuki even showed her protective side immediately after she realized Sakura must've died to get here too.

And now Irene is letting her meet Kaito and the others at Ekoda. Wonder how that would go?

So what did you guys think? Did you like it? Which part was your favorite? Hope to see your feedback soon!

That's all. See you next chapter!

Stay sweet my fellow anime lovers!~
