Bomb defusal

Narrator pov. Continuing outside~

Edogawa was now in Takagi's car with the others as Takagi explained that they were leaving making the real kids surprised.

Genta asked, "We're running away?" Ayumi added, "Irene-chan and Miyuki-Oneesan are still in there!" 

Sato decided to speak up, "Don't worry, they're okay. Both of them will be heading back here soon." she then looked back at Takagi, "So, Takagi-kun, take the kids to a safe place." 

Takagi nodded, "Hai." before he got back in his car.

Haibara glanced to the side at Edogawa, who was looking at the tower with worry, and quietly said, "They're going to have those two defuse the bomb, aren't they?"

Edogawa and Sato let out an "Eh?" as they looked at her, Sato stopped walking away.

Haibara explained that the bomb squad just standing in wait outside proved that that was what was happening, Edogawa got a bit nervous but Sato assured her that they'd be fine since the bomb was the same as 3 years ago.

With that, Takagi drove off, the radio in his car on and tuned in to the news of the tower

Inside, the rescue team slowly lowered the bag of tools down to Irene who caught it, she handed the police transceiver and the blueprint of the bomb down to Miyuki, blinking when she saw that Miyuki didn't give the transceiver much of a glance, turning it on as a second thought.

'Oh right, she's an FBI agent... Probably knows how to defuse bombs.' she realized as she gave her a questioning look which she nodded at with a smile and a thumbs up, signaling that she could handle it.

Miyuki confirmed through the radio that she had the blueprint but after confirming that the officer was heard clearly, she muted the radio, "Irene, do you have the infrared scope on?"

Irene took out the scope and was now putting it on her head, strapping it on and pressing the button to turn it on, and finding the rotator above her right eye to adjust it so everything was clear before replying,  "Un, I'm ready."

Miyuki replied, "Good. When they turn off the lights, take off the cover on the right of the mercury lever."

Irene added, "Without touching it. Right."

Miyuki turned the volume on the radio back on just to tell the bomb squad that they could turn the lights off now, making them think she was listening when she wasn't.
