Narrator pov. Continuing later at Beika Central Hospital~

Megure was now pacing in front of the emergency room where Sato was having surgery while Mouri was in Edogawa's room by his side, waiting for him to wake up.

The Mouri parents, along with Suzuki and certain officers walked in at that moment and went to him.

Shiratori asked about Sato's condition and Megure said the expected answer of one bullet stopping right next to her heart, making her have a half chance of surviving, which made Shiratori and Takagi shocked.

Eri asked, "Keibu-san, what about Conan-kun?" Megure looked at her and answered, "While his head injury is serious, it's not life-threatening, but he's still unconscious. His room is right there, Ran-kun is with him." pointing in the direction of the room.

Eri looked at Kogoro who nodded before she and Suzuki went to Edogawa's room, to both check on him and help calm Mouri down.

Megure asked Shiratori how the investigation went and Shiratori answered with the expected result of finding nothing, saying that it could be that the culprit left before sealing the exits, Chiba walked over then.

Megure asked if there were any prints on the gun which Takagi answered with the negative and Shiratori noticed Chiba behind him and asked him about the blackout, which Chiba explained.

And then Takagi said, "There's something that bothers me..." Megure looked at him so he continued, "The flashlight that was in the bathroom floor, was it brought by Sato-san originally?"

Considering that a certain detective was unconscious and therefore not there, they all considered the suggestion as Shiratori replied, "That could be possible." before whispering to Megure about 'that case' which Kogoro heard and asked about.

Megure tried to avoid answering again but Kogoro exclaimed, "Why won't you tell me?! If it went wrong, Conan would've been shot! Keibu-dono!" Megure just looked away.

And then Suzuki ran to them and exclaimed, "Ojisama we have trouble here, the brat... Conan-kun is..." Kogoro asked, "What's wrong with Conan?" Suzuki answered, "He's awake but he's acting strange!"

Kogoro was shocked before they all ran to Edogawa's room.

They arrived and Kogoro called out, "Conan!"

Edogawa was sitting up on his bed, his glasses already placed back on him, Mouri and Eri were on either side of him and he glanced up towards him, blinking.

Kogoro asked, "Oi brat, you okay?" Edogawa responded by blinking, tilting his head as if confused, before finally saying in a quiet voice, "Ojisan... Who are you?" Kogoro froze in shock as did everyone else with him.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Well, Conan indeed did lose his memory, wonder how different it'll be considering how he got it? :D

And awww, once again Kogoro shows he cares about him. That's sweet!
