Narrator pov. Continuing at the Kuroba house after lunch~

Irene just asked a simple question, "Do you think I should keep going to school even though he'll be there or not?"

Honestly, it didn't really matter to her if she kept going or not.

That is why she decided to ask Kuroba his opinion.

Kuroba didn't seem to even think about it before he nodded and answered, "Of course you should still go. Even if he'd still be mad at you, the kids who are now your friends will miss you and might worry."

He added, "Besides, you do need to tell the people you're staying with how you're not coming back and this is the easiest way. Plus, you still want to protect the kids don't you?"

Irene blinked and nodded.

"Alright. Thanks for answering. And take off that paint trap you had planted on my room door."

Kuroba looked defeated and sighed, "Man, you always find out. Alright fine." then he went upstairs to get the trap off, Irene watching him go.

Time skip to Monday (Brought to you by Irene's flute playing~)

Irene just got out of Beika Train Station and walked to school, feeling nostalgic since she used to do this before.

She didn't mind the kids, but walking alone was... more comfortable.

She arrived at school on time and walked in.

She arrived at her classroom and slid open the door, some classmates greeted her with her greeting back.

Sounds like Ayumi was the first of her friends to notice her as she heard her while she called out, "Irene-chan! You're here!"

Irene gave her friends a nod as she walked over to her seat next to Ayumi and sat down before she greeted, "Ohayo."

The real kids greeted, "Ohayo!" Edogawa stared but he still mumbled a greeting.

Ayumi asked, "Ne, how come you weren't at the agency with Conan-kun today? Did you stay the weekend at your cousin's?"

Irene nodded as she answered, "Un. Missed staying with him so I stayed the weekend with him. Also not just for the weekend. I moved back in with him."

She could hear Edogawa as he let out an "Eh?" while the kids just looked at each other before they smiled.
