Karashima Sakura is a 16-year-old Japanese girl who had a good family but was bullied since she was little as she grew up in America, and ended up an orphan at the end of high school.

Sakura used to have two Japanese best friends who understood her. One she knew from kindergarten until the end of elementary school, and the other she knew from middle school until the end of high school.

The reason she can't see her first friend (Michiyuki Miyuki) anymore is that she died on the plane she took with her parents back to Japan after graduating from elementary school. It was a plane crash.

As for her other friend (Abehara Minami), she lost her and her parents during a fire that destroyed the orphanage she always went to and helped take care of the children with her parents who worked there, she was the only survivor.

She now lives alone and has lost all her colors. 

Miyuki was the one who introduced her to the anime Detective Conan.

That led to her becoming a hardcore fangirl because every time she watches DC it's like seeing another world where all English people like Japanese people and the stories of the teenage high school detective and magician thief are interesting too especially because Sakura was a Sherlockian since she read the books the moment she knew how to, so she knew how Kudo feels when someone insults Sherlock.

Sakura was bullied at school because of her Japanese appearance and the only ones who would stand up for her and protect her were her dead friends and so after they both died she had to bear with the bullying alone which didn't bother her as she felt nothing anymore.

I bet you're wondering, how is Sakura only 16 if she graduated high school? Well, she's genius for her age, although she doesn't like it.

After losing her friends and family, she stopped caring about living or dying, watching Detective Conan just as a distraction at that point.

She's now "grey" in color, as in neutral, the only thing that makes her feel alive... is taking risks.

Her life goes at a painfully normal pace until one day she gets killed by one of her many bullies.

But when she opened her eyes again she saw coldblooded killers Gin and Vodka talking about a murder they were gonna commit until they noticed her and caught her then used the APTX4869 poison on her saying that it was untested which led to her losing consciousness again only to wake up in the body of a 6-year-old.

She wakes up in a certain someone's home and finds out that she was in the DC world a month before Kudo shrinks. After some talking, she gets to go to school while taking on the alias, "Midorkawa Irene".

But she is still colorless. Even as she goes to school while fully expecting to get bullied, still thinks that taking risks is the only way to feel alive, even as she meets Edogawa.

Unbeknownst to her, the journey she's gonna have in this world will lead her to slowly regain her colors and find true happiness.
