Narrator pov. Inside the stadium at the central stands~

The detective boys were now watching the cup final soccer match. The real kids were all excited as they watched and then they talked about Japan being in the World Cup which Edogawa tried to be cool about while explaining.

The real kids just called him out for it since they remembered how he reacted to the match when watching it at Agasa's, Irene pulled on his jacket sleeve to stop him from saying something stupid about his real age and then Haibara giggled from her place sitting right behind their group instead of standing.

Edogawa looked back at her as Irene just glanced back, receiving the usual cold stare, before she looked back in front, knowing that Edogawa could handle it since Haibara still disliked her anyway.

As expected, Edogawa placed his cap on Haibara's head as he took off her sunglasses before he pulled her to stand next to him between the duo, Irene, respecting her obvious dislike, moved a little away so she wouldn't be uncomfortable as she started thinking to herself.

Edogawa noticed and sighed before he commented on how Haibara was being cool as she wasn't getting even a little excited by watching, Irene was an obvious exception but he mentioned how anyone else would usually get excited.

Then he mentioned how she was the same the day she first transferred and Haibara finally responded by saying that it was natural since he was also there and he was in the same situation she was still coldly ignoring Irene but the brunette didn't mind.

Then Edogawa asked for her age which she jokingly answered with a high number and when she was about to say her real age, the wind blew the cap off her head and into the stadium field right next to the soccer ball which suddenly bounced the moment the cap hit the ground.

That made Edogawa jump down onto the field to check what happened as Irene watched him inspect the ball and then get caught by one of the employees by the field as he used the cap as an excuse to get the man to leave him a little as he searched for the hole where the bullet was.

He found it and took out a small knife as he started to dig in it which was when the employee found the cap and saw him, pulling him off just when he took out the bullet and held it in his hand.

Irene kept watching before he started to leave and the others followed as they got out of the stadium to see Megure and the police, having been called here by a certain Nichuri TV director, just when the inspector was doubting Kaneko's claim of a gun being used when it was a ball that got shot and so Edogawa pitched in by saying it was a Tokarev gun.
