A way to spend the weekend

Narrator pov. At the Kuroba house after breakfast~

Irene and Kuroba had just returned back, Kuroba was grinning as he said, "I was wondering when will she decide to schedule a day with you. Good thing it's today when you had no plans!" which made Irene look up at him.

Earlier during breakfast, Nakamori suddenly announced that she'd hang out with Irene today right after she was done cleaning up after breakfast, Irene didn't see anything wrong with it so she accepted, though from how excited Nakamori was Irene figured she wouldn't have a choice either way.

Irene just blinked up at him, "Well, I don't usually have plans unless it's with the kids anyway. Though I don't see why Nakamori-san is so excited." 

It was true, it's not like Irene is different from a doll with how unexpressive she is, so, just like with Edogawa, Nakamori is basically hanging out with a talking, moving doll.

Kuroba frowned, "What did we say about you comparing yourself to a doll?" she shrugged, "It's not like I'm wrong. Anyway, I'll go change." she then went upstairs to change out of the pajamas and into appropriate clothes.

After she was done, she heard the front door slam open while she was going back down the stairs, she already knew who it was by the squeals.

When she arrived back down, she saw Nakamori also dressed casually but appropriately and she was smiling happily like a child down at her, Kuroba just seemed annoyed at her slamming the door open.

Nakamori happily asked, "Irene-chan! You ready?" Irene nodded as she went to the entrance and put her shoes back on while saying, "Ja, Ittekimasu Kaito-niichan." Kuroba replied, "Itterashai." before Nakamori took her hand the moment her shoes were on properly and ran with her out the door.

First, they went to the mall, which Irene expected even if she never liked shopping, though Nakamori started making her try on outfits while she did the same herself before buying any of them.

Apparently, Nakamori's excuse for Irene having to try some on is that she needed more clothes.

Irene didn't agree, but Nakamori didn't listen.

At least she let her say whether she liked the outfit that she thought fit her or not before just buying it.

Some of the clothes Nakamori chose for herself were too flashy, which Irene made sure to point out, but some others really suited her, so those were taken.
