True Happiness (rewrite version)

Disaster averted

AN: Hehe yeah. I have the motivation for one more today. Hope you enjoy it!

Narrator pov. Continuing~

While going up the stairs, Genta started getting tired but Ayumi encouraged him to keep going as they couldn't afford to waste time getting out.

They found a toolbox on the way and Irene opened it to take out another flashlight and give it to Mitsuhiko as she said, "I have a feeling there's someone else here, so I'll go check. Also, check for any fuel tanks that are left on the roof, the fire could spread up here and it won't be good if there are tanks."

The real kids nodded before going up to the roof and Irene entered the door labeled {A75} and used her watchlight to find Hosui then darted him to fall asleep.

Only when that was done did she explain to Haibara everything about the case, including how Hara was killed by Gin before their detective badges beeped.

Irene and Haibara helped each other pull Hara to lean against the wall before they joined the kids as they heard Edogawa, "Ayumi, Genta, Mitsuhiko... Do you read me?"

They all turned on their badges and Ayumi replied, "We hear you, Conan-kun!" then Edogawa asked, "Where are you all?"

Irene answered, "We had to get off the elevator and climb the stairs to the roof of Tower A." 

They heard multiple noises of shock along with Edogawa saying, "Nani?!" before they heard Megure order for a helicopter.

Irene noticed the fuel tanks that were brought inside away from the rooftop and gave the kids a small smile of pride which made them smile back happily as they all got out to the roof.

Irene added, "Also, we found someone else passed out inside." She looked at the boys who nodded before going inside to carry Hosui out to the roof while she continued, "It's Hosui-san, he had some poison on him."

There was silence along with murmurs of shock before Edogawa sighed and said, "Alright got it, but are you all okay?"

Ayumi replied, "Un, we're completely fine thanks to Irene-chan!"

There were sighs of relief before Edogawa said, "Yokatta. Ja, you guys just need to wait since a helicopter is coming to get you."

The boys got Hosui out with them by now, sitting him against the wall as the real kids replied, "Hai!" 

By then, Irene's light died and Mitsuhiko's was the only one still working.

They waited for a bit before they saw the helicopter and started waving it over.

There was the expected explosion but other than the building shaking a bit, nothing else happened and the heliport was still fine so the helicopter still landed and they all got on, the pilot having had to carry Hosui inside before they flew to Tower B and met everyone again.

After another hour, there was another explosion inside Tower A which made everyone who didn't know bewildered.

Irene just sighed a bit in relief as she mumbled, "That's a disaster averted..." quietly to herself before she felt Edogawa patting her back and whispering, "Good job."

She replied, "Arigato." just as quietly, her heart racing a bit at the compliment and the fact that he was patting her back but she calmed herself down.

Edogawa ended up using his watch to do a Sleeping Kogoro deduction to reveal Hosui as the culprit, saying that the proof was in his walking stick, he had to lie when it came to Hara's case but it didn't matter since the police wouldn't investigate further.

When Hosui woke up, he was arrested and that was when Kogoro himself woke up as they all watched the culprit get escorted to the police station by Takagi while Chiba was carrying the walking stick.

It took Kogoro a while to realize and say, "Wait, was the earlier explosion...?!"

Edogawa realized what he was thinking and answered, "Yeah, it was in the room with the Mustang Convertible Ojisan won."

Kogoro's soul seemed to leave his body as he fell back in the pool while mumbling, "My dream car..." making a splash.

Most of them laughed at this before they helped Kogoro out and after giving testimonies and being allowed to go home, they all bid farewell to each other and left.

Irene went to Sato and asked, "Ne Sato-Keiji, can you give me a ride to the train station? It's kind of late to get a taxi."

Sato smiled and agreed and so Irene got to the station.

After thanking Sato and bidding her good night, she rode the train back to Ekoda and got back to Kuroba's and when she entered the house, she said, "Tadaima..." quietly.

Kuroba, who as expected was awake still since it was a weekend, greeted, "Okaeri." from the living room.

They both fed the doves together as Irene explained what happened before they wished each other good night, went to the rooms, and got ready to sleep, though Irene like always didn't sleep immediately.

Indeed, that was a good change and a disaster averted.

 AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Finally, this movie arc is done! Good thing it didn't need as many parts as AmneConan. (AmneConan needed 30 while this only needed 9-)

Now we can go back to the other arc! Yay!
