(29) Detective's return

Narrator pov. Continuing~

Kyosuke exclaimed, "It's over when the fountain stops! You both better give up now!" before he noticed the fountains turning off so he grinned as he pointed his gun back at the duo's spot and fired once at the ground in front of them.

Irene thought, 'Found him.' before she turned on her gloves while holding the soda can as the fountain turned off completely which got Kyosuke to shout at them to die but before he even pointed the gun, the can flew and hit him hard straight in the face, making him collapse onto his back and drop the gun.

Since the can was still full, it had even more force in it but just to be safe, Irene turned off her gloves and walked over, picking the gun up and throwing it a bit away.

She immediately side-stepped as Kyosuke still got up, the only difference from his supposed state was that he had a nosebleed now.

He had his knife out and was going to attack her, Irene standing at the ready, before she heard a familiar sound of a needle flying and hitting its target, seeing it hit Kyosuke's neck before the murderer collapsed and fell asleep.

Irene didn't have time to turn on her watch yet, so it wasn't from her.

She blinked and turned around.

Only to see Edogawa having that serious face that he had lost ever since his amnesia on his face, he was glaring at Kyosuke, and his watch was on.

She turned to him completely, "... Kudo-kun...?" 

He immediately responded as he looked at her, "Ah, Karashima." he seemed to notice their surroundings just then as he looked around while closing the watch, "Wha... Why are we in Tropical Land? And with the shooter?"

Irene tilted her head before realizing what was wrong.

He regained his memory but forgot everything that happened while he had amnesia.

She relaxed a bit cause that was a good thing, at least Kuroba's identity wouldn't be endangered now.

She decided to explain, "Well, you had amnesia from a hit you got on your head in that bathroom and Sato-keiji was in critical condition the whole time so no one knew who the shooter was until now, a week or so later. And we're here since I hoped the fountain would regain your memory, which seemed to have worked."

He seemed to process before his eyes widened, "Wait what?! Did anyone else get hurt?" 

She shook her head, "No don't worry, no one was hurt after that."

They looked back at the knocked-out Kyosuke and Irene said, "The fountain was also a plan to get him off guard and knock him down, which also worked. I would've used my own watch if you didn't get your memory back just now."

Edogawa nodded in understanding as he glared down at Kyosuke before glancing at her, "Did you get hurt?" he asked firmly, "You're still recovering from your last shoulder injury so you better not have got more."

She looked at him before looking away with a slight blush, shaking her head, "No I didn't get hurt either, though I was close."

He sighed in relief before realizing something, "Wait! Did I act too mature for my age or got Ran to suspect me-" 

She covered his mouth and shook her head, "No. You're fine." 

She took her hand away before finally giving him a slight smile as she greeted, "Welcome back, Kudo-kun. Everyone missed you."

He blinked before he placed his hands in his pockets and smiled, "Thanks for bringing me back."

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Well, Conan is finally back. Yay!

However, he forgot his time as AmneConan, which makes sense considering his amnesia was from a hit to the head.

And Kyosuke is finally down! I always knew it would have been easier to use the watch.
