Narrator pov. At the park~

The detective boys were now playing together and hanging out at the park.

Until Irene heard a certain sound from one of the trash cans.

"Nya~" It was a tiny and weak meow, but Irene was the one to hear it, and with her Angel Sense being active then, she knew she had to check it out.

Miyuki is the one who gave it the name, but Sakura always had this sixth sense that lets her know when there's someone in need nearby, even if she couldn't see or hear them, though Sakura didn't like the name at first as she wasn't an angel, it grew on her over time.

Noticing that she stopped paying attention and went to the trash can that wasn't close but not that far either, the detective boys looked at each other before they went after her to see what was happening.

Irene followed her heart just like she did whenever someone was in trouble and ended up by the trash can.

Before she could look inside, a little bundle of fur fell out of the bin and into the grass.

Irene paused as she saw it.

It was a 2-month-old black kitten, and her fur was messed up.

Irene approached slowly so as to not scare it and then started to pet it gently.

The kitten purred.

That was when the others arrived and the kids were excited at how adorable the kitten was though Edogawa noticed that Irene looked... well, a little concerned.

Ayumi asked, "Ne, ne, what's the gender?"

Irene glanced at her before she answered, "A girl."

Ayumi squealed, "Kawaii!"

Edogawa approached and whispered, "Something wrong?"

Irene nodded, "She's too skinny for a 2-month-old. I think her mother died recently and she had to survive alone here since black cats are usually hated."

Edogawa frowned, which made it obvious that he shared the same problem about this that she did now.

He said, "What about we feed it?" she looked at him and he looked at the kids, "Oi guys, Midorikawa and I will go get the kitty some food, can you guys watch over her in the meantime?"
