Narrator pov. Continuing~

The curtain was closed and the police, who were already outside, were called to the scene as they began talking with Kogoro.

Edogawa ended up figuring it out as he ran out to the window facing Tower B and after a bit, the ground started to shake.

Irene checked to make sure the kids and Haibara were alright as the lights were turned off throughout the whole tower.

The crowd started to feel anxious at the sudden blackout and shaking in the building before Kazama and the police came over and explained the situation, saying that they needed to evacuate before they tried the VIP elevator to see that it still worked.

After knowing the limited capacity in the elevator was nine adults, they decided also to use the stairs that reach the sky bridge to shorten the time.

Basically, women, children, and the elderly were to use the elevator while everyone else used the stairs. 

First, some women and the real kids along with Haibara and Irene were getting on, Mouri tried to push Edogawa in to also ride it but the overcapacity alarm started beeping so he couldn't and stayed behind with Mouri.

The real kids worried about him but he reassured them that he would ride the next one before the doors closed and the elevator went down.

However, it didn't go down all the way as it stopped suddenly on the  66th floor which made everyone except Irene confused before the doors opened and revealed a mother with her baby who hesitated on getting on after she saw the people inside.

The kids and Irene looked at each other before the 4 of them along with Haibara walked out with Mitsuhiko asking the mother to get in, when the mother still hesitated, the real kids assured her that they would be okay as they would just use the Sky Bridge.

After Ayumi gently pushed the woman in, the woman thanked them before the doors closed and the elevator continued down without them.

The real kids looked around as they remembered that they didn't have their watches and it was pretty dark.

That was when Haibara turned on her watch light and when the real kids looked at her, Haibara deadpanned, "You know, you all should've considered that before exiting." Mitsuhiko recalled, "Right! Irene-chan, Haibara-san, and Conan-kun didn't participate in the game."

After explaining to Genta why they had to move and not wait for the next elevator, they started going down to the 60th floor.

They arrived a bit later and ran to the sky bridge but Irene held Mitsuhiko back just before the explosion happened and immediately pulled him back as they all took cover behind a wall.

When it stopped, they went to check the bridge to see that it was completely destroyed and then Haibara's light died.

Haibara went to suggest waiting but Irene turned on her light and said, "We should go to the roof for now. It's the only exit out of here now, we'll talk more about what we do then." 

They looked at each other but nodded as they used Irene's light and started going up the stairs to the roof.

This time, she intentionally made a big change.

Look at that, Irene not only stays with the kids but is not letting them wait for when everyone else notices they're missing. Wonder what would happen? OwO
