Narrator pov. At the Tower~

Irene and Miyuki arrived just in time to see Takagi walk away from his car to ask what was happening, so after Miyuki parked her car, they both got out to follow.

They kept their distance as Takagi talked to Sato on the phone until the Nichuri TV employee checking the tower ran out to tell the news about the little girl trapped inside the stopped elevator.

When Takagi told Sato and started to hesitate, the two girls nodded at each other before running inside.

They ended up pushing through with a bit of effort and arrived there as they easily located the elevator, they looked at each other before Miyuki asked if they could help get the girl out.

After getting approval, Miyuki lifted Irene up and helped her inside the elevator where the little girl, Akemi, was cowering in fear and holding her teddy bear.

Irene gave the little girl a friendly wave and a smile, the same one she used around the orphanage kids, as she said, "Konnichiwa, Akemi-chan right?" she crawled in a bit but stayed away from the scared girl.

Little Akemi held the teddy bear but was more relaxed at her smile as Irene pointed at the bear, her smile still present, "Awww, he's cute. What's his name?"

Akemi blinked before answering, "Chamcha." 

Irene's smile widened, "What a cute name for a cute boy! Can I come over and say hi? Maybe hug him a bit? He looks so huggable!"

She could hear Takagi arriving outside the elevator, meaning they didn't have much time before the second explosion would happen.

Akemi smiled a bit and nodded so Irene crawled over and waved at the teddy, "Konnichiwa, Chamcha! Are you protecting Akemi-chan okay?" she then patted the teddy's head, "Kawaii! He's so soft." 

Akemi smiled and let go of him as Irene took him and hugged him close, "He~eh he's so squishy!" Akemi nodded happily, "He is!" she giggled a bit.

Irene smiled and asked, "How did you get him?"

Akemi immediately went into her happy little tale of getting the teddy from her mother as a birthday present, Irene listened before saying, "He~eh? That's so sweet! Ah, speaking of, your Mama is waiting outside the elevator, what about we go to her?"

Akemi smiled wide and nodded, "Okay!"

Irene stood up and helped her up as they walked over to the other side where, as Irene expected, Takagi was there, Edogawa as well.
