Narrator pov. Continuing~

They were all riding Agasa's car to the checkpoint.

Irene knew that Edogawa wasn't convinced with her answer about being alright, but she didn't care about that right now.

And when they met up with Yumi and started to think about what the message meant again.

"Panda." she mumbled as she now had her head down in thought, considering what she just found out.

Edogawa heard her before his eyes widened in realization before he announced that he now knew what James meant.

Irene let him take over the conversation as she let herself think.

'There's no doubt anymore. That was definitely Miyu-chan... Though she grew up and actually became an adult, that's definitely her face...'

The question was, how come she only saw her around FBI members?

And why did it look like Miyuki didn't recognize her earlier the same way she did her? 

Miyuki was the one who was in a look Irene had never seen her in before but she still recognized her, Irene meanwhile was in the same body and age as when they were friends before Miyuki's plane crash.

And it's not like Miyuki is like Mouri, she knew about APTX, this was the world of the anime they both liked to watch.

They were back in Agasa's car after Edogawa got the point across and they followed Sato's car as he explained his plan through the badge.

When the plan started, the real kids did their part to pretend to be kidnapped as Agasa sped the car ahead of the actual kidnappers' fake police car.

When Akai's car passed by them and Edogawa stopped Haibara from noticing, Irene glanced over again as she made a decision.

She wouldn't figure it out by just thinking to herself, she needed to get the answers from someone.

And since Miyuki seemed to be connected to the FBI... She knew one person she could reach to ask the questions.

So after the kidnappers were arrested and James left. Irene took the chance to call Mouri at the nearest phone booth.

She didn't want any more questions, so it was time to get the answers.
