Narrator pov. At Teitan Elementary Class 1-b~

Edogawa was acting a little weird during class.

She could feel him glancing at the back of her head from his seat a little behind hers and Ayumi's.

For some reason, it felt like he was nervous about something... or embarrassed.

She found out what it was during lunch when the detective boys sat together and the duo as usual sat beside each other.

And he whispered, "Hey... I was wondering, can you maybe give me some cooking lessons?" with a nervous and a little embarrassed tone.

It was obvious why he was embarrassed, he was a guy asking a girl to teach him how to cook, it's even more embarrassing when you consider how he never was interested before.

That was why she glanced back at him and quietly replied, "Why are you interested in learning all of a sudden?" emotionlessly blunt like usual, as she was curious.

He sighed as he rubbed the back of his head but still answered, "I still feel guilty about letting you cook for me and all I did to help was set up the table back at Hakase's. I want to help more in the kitchen, but since I know I don't have skills in cooking... I can't ask Ran, and Hakase isn't that good of a cook so..."

She watched his body language, he was obviously embarrassed but there was determination there, he was serious.

"You really don't have to go so far." she started as he looked at her, the glint of hope and determination visible in his eyes, "But if you're certain you want to, then alright. When are you free so we can start?"

He smiled before he replied, "I'm pretty sure I'm free after school for the whole week."

She nodded, "Okay. I'll have to make a call but we can start after school. We'll do it at your house since I'm sure you don't want to let anyone else see you until you get the hang of it." he nodded, looking thankful, "So today, after school ends, we're going to your house, I'll buy the ingredients and prepare the kitchen while you tell Mouri-san an excuse before coming."

He smiled wider and nodded, "Okay, thanks!"

She gave him another emotionless nod before starting to eat her food and listening to the real kids' conversation.

Edogawa handed her the keys to Kudo's house as Irene told the kids farewell before going ahead.
